For my second styling post, I got to create an outfit with DL1961′s Stella shorts in Flash wash and I had so much fun with it! I love the bright red of these with the subtle tie-dye print here and there. Chiara Ferragni from The Blonde Salad was actually spotted wearing these shorts during the Coachella Festival last week, so since it’s festival season, I decided to go down that route with my styling.

For this outfit, I chose a Theysken’s Theory Orange Franky Bruna Blouse, a pair of ASH Bowie wedge sneakers in Stone, a Proenza Schouler PS1 Pouch bag in Nude and then I accessorized it with a Samanca Jewelry Dawn Necklace in Tan, a Soixante Neuf Crackle Horn Necklace in Turquoise, a Burkman Bros Two Color Black/Tan Knotted Bracelet and a Burkman Bros Bark Bracelet with Beads.

What I love about this outfit is it’s so bright and fun. I adore the orange and yellow tones of the shirt and combined with the red shorts, it really stands out. I chose a turquoise necklace because it pops so much against the orange, it’s a complete contrast and looks cute, layered with the other tan coloured necklace it adds depth.

I chose the Ash sneakers for comfort and because they have a hidden heel which will give you height, plus the fact I am obsessed with these, but unfortunately they sold out in my size everywhere. The bracelets just add some flare to the wrists and the nude bag, I think it ties the colours together nicely. What do you think of the look?

For the Theyskens’ Theory Spring 2012 show, Olivier Theyskens kept the looks wearable and easy like his collections in the past. You are never going to get something out of the ordinary at his shows. The jeans were slimmer this season than the previous. They also shot the looks at a different angle this time around.

I like the introduction of the polarized pants. When I saw them at Balmain I thought they were a cool new style. Olivier, unlike Balmain, sent down his polarized pants in lighter washes and slouchier fits. Like his previous collections, the ladies will love every single one of these pieces and the shoes again will be another hit. I think he does such an amazing job designing footwear. The Theyskens’ Theory show is actually one that I wait for each season. Olivier Theyskens has really got everything perfect when it comes to design, styling, cut, wearability, and color in each and every season. This season was not an exception either. Like the other collections, Theory decided not to take face front photos an opted for an upper angled shot.

Keeping to the usual aesthetic of the past seasons, cool and simple was the main factor of the show. Another thing that is kept true to the fashion house seems to be the stray away of the skinny fit. Like the past seasons, the bottoms were kept baggy in forms of boyfriend jeans, wide-leg, and shorts. Ankles are always able to breathe in the Theykens’ Theory shows. The collection also featured a denim blazer, as well as many skirts and dresses. I think the flat ankle boots are great. I feel many people are going to want those as well as the wedges. This collection is very reminiscent of Sienna Miller and Lindsay Lohan in my opinion. I can see those two in many of these looks. You can check out some of the looks below.
