LOOK BOOK: Textile Elizabeth and James Fall/Winter 2011

05.10.2011 Posted in Designer Jean Look Books by Jonathan

TEXTILEEJFW11Look12 e1304956396554 LOOK BOOK: Textile Elizabeth and James Fall/Winter 2011

Here is a look at the first ever Textile Elizabeth and James look book. For their Fall/Winter ’11 collection, the inspiration came from the California desert, namely a 1969 journey to Joshua Tree, California. Though with a vintage inspiration, the fits are still of this decade.

Featured in this collection are shirts, skirts, sweaters, denim and some outerwear. They have their popular Jimi flare in a black wash (believe it or not, this is their first season to include black denim) and a patch style. They also have have the Debbie jeans in a faded black with patches all over.

My favorite pieces from this collection would have to be the red long johns, the Dakota sweater, and the Crosby Jeans (shown above with the Dakota sweater). I fell for these jeans back when I saw them on Mary-Kate at their launch party in New York. I just love the carpenter style, plus they have ankle-zippers. You can never go wrong with that. You can check out their full look book below.

Emma Roberts in Textile Elizabeth and James

04.23.2011 Posted in Celebrity Pictures in Designer Jeans by Jonathan

Emma Roberts in Sid Jacket 2 Emma Roberts in Textile Elizabeth and James

Emma Roberts attended the Children’s Defense Fund Benefit with her little sister Grace. She wore the Textile Elizabeth and James Sid Jacket which she paired with some black trousers and nude heels. I think this is a great way to dress up the denim jacket without wearing the usual dress under.

I like that Emma is so mellow. We hear about her here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary. I also like that she worked for her own name. Like what Jack Nicholson said, “Don’t be famous for nothing.” I think that is something many celebrity off-springs take for granted…their name. You can click here to purchase Textile Elizabeth and James at ShopBop.

David Beckham in Dior Homme

David Beckham in Dior Homme e1303403482594 David Beckham in Dior Homme

David Beckham was spotted at the Lakers vs. Hornets game in Los Angeles, California. He wore one of his favorite pairs of Dior Homme jeans, his black cords. David has been seen in these many times. They have a few fades going on around the thigh.

Every time I see David in his cords it makes me remember to buy myself some. I just never get around to it. I love the vibe that they give an outfit, I find it more relaxed than denim sometimes. Right now I am eyeing the Patti Cords by Textile in Tan. I am a huge fan of skinny jeans, but I feel cords should be worn on the slouchier side.

Ellen Pompeo in Textile Elizabeth and James

I have actually been waiting to spot Ellen Pompeo in a pair of jeans by Textile Elizabeth and James. For some reason I always knew that she would get a pair. I do find them to suit her style very well. Also, I think it is about time she gave her Black Orchid jeans a day off.

She was spotted taking daughter Stella to visit the petting zoo in Studio City, California. She wore a pair of the Textile Jimi Jeans in Glory Days. What I love about Textile jeans is that they don’t stretch out around the waist. Even after wearing them for a few days straight they still stay up when I wear them. You can click here to purchase these jeans at Net-A-Porter for $195.
