Cindy Crawford was caught out and about in Malibu with daughter Kaia. She wore a pair of the Textile Elizabeth and James Jimi Jeans in Mystic. I love the way these jeans fit Cindy. The length just ends at the right spot for the shoes she chose.

I also cannot get enough of this wash. I have them in the Debbie fit and it is just great. They are just one of the best blue jeans that I have. I also like that they have a little distressed mark and fading. They are clean yet the detail gives them more life then just a simple dark wash. Ashley Olsen was spotted getting to her ride outside her apartment in Manhattan, New York. She wore a pair of the Textile Elizabeth and James Crosby jeans in Honey with some red Chanel sandals and an oversized grey tee. I have loved these jeans since I saw Mary-Kate in them. I’m so happy to see Ashley not just wearing these, but also wearing some Textile skinny jeans.

I find the carpenter style of these to be so cool. I just love every single detail in them. The knee padding, the hammer loop, and the zippers are just all great without overpowering each other. Here is a look at the first ever Textile Elizabeth and James campaign. The vibe of the shoot was inspired by a journey to Joshua Tree, California in 1969. It channels the ’60s rock muses with a mix of Americana. The campaign itself will be featured in the August and September issues of InStyle Magazine.

The clothes featured are the Bianca shirt, the Jimi Flares, the Wilshire and Venice tees, as well as the Castaway striped top. The styling is great. Here is a style that I can relate to. Not the flared part, but the slit. Textile Elizabeth and James have come out with a new style called the “Stewart” jeans. These have a flare with a frayed bottom and a long side slit. I myself have been doing this to my jeans quite a bit after noticing an awkward fit at my ankles sometimes. I do like this concept, but I know it is not for everyone. Especially when you are splurging on a great pair and are scared of destroying them.

I think these are a great style for the summer, in not just the wash but also the cut. I do think they are more sandal jeans than heel jeans. I do like that she paired this jacket with a draped pencil skirt. I actually find this look to be great from the ankles up. I’m just not a fan of the clunky Tory Burch shoes. We rarely see any one wear a skirt with their denim jackets. Or skirts for that matter lately. Most of the time when we spot someone in a denim jacket it is usually with a dress. Ellen Pompeo was spotted out and about during a walk in New York with her family. She wore a pair of the Textile Elizabeth and James Jimi Jeans in Glory Days. This is our second sighting of Ellen in these jeans.

The fit looks a lot better this time than the previous. They are a bit tighter at the thigh which, I think, is a must when wearing flares. I also like the over all look this time as well. I think the blazer is a really nice color and brings something more to the look than just a regular black or navy one. Here is a look at the first ever Textile Elizabeth and James look book. For their Fall/Winter ’11 collection, the inspiration came from the California desert, namely a 1969 journey to Joshua Tree, California. Though with a vintage inspiration, the fits are still of this decade.

Featured in this collection are shirts, skirts, sweaters, denim and some outerwear. They have their popular Jimi flare in a black wash (believe it or not, this is their first season to include black denim) and a patch style. They also have have the Debbie jeans in a faded black with patches all over.

My favorite pieces from this collection would have to be the red long johns, the Dakota sweater, and the Crosby Jeans (shown above with the Dakota sweater). I fell for these jeans back when I saw them on Mary-Kate at their launch party in New York. I just love the carpenter style, plus they have ankle-zippers. You can never go wrong with that. Emma Roberts attended the Children’s Defense Fund Benefit with her little sister Grace. She wore the Textile Elizabeth and James Sid Jacket which she paired with some black trousers and nude heels. I think this is a great way to dress up the denim jacket without wearing the usual dress under.

I like that Emma is so mellow. We hear about her here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary. I also like that she worked for her own name. Like what Jack Nicholson said, “Don’t be famous for nothing.” I think that is something many celebrity off-springs take for granted…their name.
