I got the opportunity to preview Raven Denim’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection in New York. I feel like this collection was all about the details, with a lot of fun twists on trends.

One unique thing about this collection, is the unique use of pattern. For women’s styles, they had an arrow/chevron shaped print that starts below the knee. This was one of my favorite pairs of the collection, because I think it’s a quirky and subtle way to wear the printed trend. (See detail shot).

The colors are great for fall with great mustard, muted reds and grays. The colored denim comes in a variety of different cuts, including skinny and flare styles, as well as chinos. There are also a few more muted metallic hues, including pink and silver, which are not too shiny and very wearable.

The men’s collection was also really unique. One of the biggest stand outs of the men’s line is the use of Green Hybrid Denim technology. Raven developed fabric that uses recycled cotton and polyester materials. The collection features a few different cuts from this Green Hybrid technology. Although, for the time being, it’s only available in men’s styles. The men’s collection has a lot of slimmer cut styles, both in chinos and denim. They also offer printed styles, like herringbone and pinstripe.

Raven Denim have just released an exciting new collaboration! They tapped Kaley Cuoco and Brian Austin Green to co-design jeans with their in-house Creative Director, Ya-el Torbati. The Dream Denim Collection, launched this month, will benefit the Los Angeles charity, Friends of Animals Foundation. I think it’s wonderful they are doing this because animal charities are just as important. I’m definitely supporting this one!

Kaley seized the opportunity to create jeans that could be worn with a t-shirt and heels or her favorite combat boots. The Shirley, named after Kaley’s rescued pit bull, is a dark denim trouser with a slim leg and flat coin pockets. The Kaley is an ode to her love of cropped, skinny jeans – with 9-inch gold zippers on the back of the calves, and a matching coin pocket zipper. Kaley explains, “Animals are a huge part of my life, and it’s a pleasure to do something creative that will benefit them.”

Brian explored a world of denim techniques available to him in the wash process. Working off of his two favorite fits in the Raven men’s collection – the Sid skinny, and the Vic slim straight – Ya-el and Brian created new fabric textures, and shades of faded blue-gray that satisfy the actor’s preference for rugged, effortless, masculine style. An indigo corduroy is washed and faded to a perfect vintage hue.

Halle Berry was seen doing some grocery shopping in Beverly Hills, California a couple of days ago. It looks like she didn’t want to crush her baguette so she carried it to the front seat of the car.

Halle chose to wear her Raven Denim shorts again for the errand. Halle seems to live in shorts at the moment. I know it’s probably really hot in LA but I find that she favours shorts over jeans whenever she can. I would love to see Halle in some Siwy shorts! Preferably the Love Song Alexa shorts I just reviewed here.

Halle Berry was spotted on her way to collect her daughter from school in Beverly Hills, California a couple of days ago. Halle chose to wear her Raven Denim shorts again for the trip.

The thing I like about Halle and her denim choices is that she has a pair of jeans or shorts that she will wear a lot every day and then she will change them for something else and then wear those every day. It’s nice to see celebs doing that sometimes! I actually really like these shorts as well.

It looks like Halle Berry has a new favorite pair of shorts! She switched her Black Orchids for a pair of Raven Denim shorts, which she wore two days in a row.  She wore Raven’s Logan jeans in Epic wash. First, she wore them while out and about in Beverly Hills, she also wore them the next day while taking Nahla to the pediatrician’s office. Busy promoting her film, Bad Teacher, Cameron Diaz appeared on the Spanish TV show El Hormiguero. The film has received rave reviews and already grossed almost $100 million dollars world wide. Have you seen it yet?

Cameron showed off her amazing figure in a pair of Raven denim Mackie bootleg trouser jeans in regal wash and a slim fit white blazer. I love these jeans on Cameron, it seems like she can wear anything. We see so many celebs in skinny jeans that it’s nice when they mix it up! Gavin Rossdale was spotted taking son Kingston out for some ice cream in Beverly Hills, California. He wore a pair of Raven Denim Joe Relaxed Fit jeans in Eclipse wash.

I always enjoy seeing Gavin’s style. His clothes are always well fitted. His jeans are always great too. I have never seen him in an ill-fitting pair of jeans. Bradley Cooper was spotted at JFK Airport in New York getting into his ride. Bradley chose a pair of Raven Denim Vic Slim Straight jeans in Alloy wash. I really like the wash of these jeans. They have a so many tones in them, well maybe because of the lighting, but I can definitely see some blues, grays, and a bit of green to add aging. It is rare to see a light wash with that much depth without whiskering or much fading.

Light/medium washed denim does have to be my favorite kind of wash. In my opinion, I find them to be a bit more versatile than the extreme dark blues. You can click here to purchase these jeans from the Raven website for $198.

Megan Fox was spotted making her way into the L’Hermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Megan chose to wear a pair of Raven Vivien Shorts in Ink. Megan looks very thin here and I also think she has a bit too much make-up. She could have kept it natural because she is just so stunning.

This outfit sort of makes me think of Vanessa Hudgens and Lindsay Lohan with the thigh-high socks and shorts. I think Megan did pull it off very well though. Is it wrong to post the butt shots first?  Well I guess sometimes it is if their undies are sticking out, but Halle’s aren’t here and I love this awesome picture of Halle’s backside, I can’t help myself!   Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez were spotted heading in for a dental check-up in Toluca Lake, CA.  Halle was wearing her Raven Denim shorts again.

It’s so hard for me to get over that Halle is 44 years old.  She is probably still my #1 for a beautiful face and a beautiful body… Jessica Alba is a very close second though!  Halle’s skin is just so nice, she’s definitely my girl crush!
