Trend Alert: Denim Overalls

Are overalls the new spring/summer trend? These are a far cry from the Gap overall days! They seemed like a continuation from the romper trend, more nipped and couture-like. Collections like Ralph Lauren and Jean Paul Gaultier feature them. Overalls perpetually remind me of what I wore as a child or a farmer, a far cry from trendy and chic. Is there any way to wear them without looking frumpy? Overalls… yeah or nay?

Blake Lively did her bit for Fashion Night Out, she visited the Ralph Lauren Store on Bleecker Street in New York. She is wearing Ralph Lauren Jeans, tucked into some gorgeous Western Style Boots, does anyone know what brand they are? She is also wearing a lovely blouse and waistcoat, I absolutely love this look and think she looks amazing. For those of you who don’t know who Blake is, she is 22 and an actress, she starred in Gossip Girls and Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants and is currently dating Penn Badgley, they recently enjoyed a romantic brunch at NYC’s Five Points.
