Rag & Bone jeans
Ashley Benson was spotted after dinner in Hollywood, California. The actress got herself some new distressed jeans from her favorite brand Rag & Bone. She opted for the Skinny in Bromley to pair with her signature combat boots and oversized flannel.
Though I am mostly a fan of how Ashley dresses, I do find this look to be on the sloppy side. It would have looked better if she were to tuck the shirt in at the front…and without the glasses. You can click here to purchase these jeans from Shopbop for $132.
Boyfriend jeans are no longer what they used to be. Since they first came out, they have since undergone a lot of changes. Whether it be the fit or their lack of details, to even their washes; they are a style that can easily lack interest very quickly.
Just like every other style, as the seasons go on, brands start to perfect the fits and add more interesting details without them losing their integrity. From shorts to slouchy slim to baggy, here are some of our choices from a few of our go-to brands that show why the style is still going strong even after six years.
Other than classic blues or solid colors, it is very rare to hear a brand re-release a standout wash in future seasons. One of the main reasons is to make way for other new styles in replace of them. One pair that has fought those odds and will be making that rare exception is the Rag & Bone Skinny in Oil Stain.
They are favorites from everyone from Hilary Duff to Liv Tyler for their updated take on the classic medium blue wash in a fit that is very hard to beat. We still get sightings of these from time to time and now that they are available again, I am sure they will be making a presence on the blog soon. You can click here to purchase them now at LaGarconne for $198
For this weeks styling post, I wanted to do a denim vest instead of a pair of jeans. As it’s been so hot over here at the moment, I haven’t been able to wear jeans for a while without feeling like I am melting, so currently I am inspired by summer dresses and flowy clothing, to keep me cool.
I started with this Superdry Broderie White Summer Dress as my base item as I think the white is perfectly cool for summer and the dress is really easy wearing. Pairing dresses with denim vests is always something I like to do, which is why I chose this Rag & Bone Burney Denim Vest in Tattered Destroy. I think the wash of it suits the dress really well. I kept the rest of the outfit in a neutral colour palette, but very girly, so I went for these Charlotte Russe Wedges, a beautiful Oscar de la Renta Lace Gold Bracelet for one wrist and a MANGO Touch Snake Chains Bracelet for the other with a Marc by Marc Jacobs Henry Rose Gold Watch. I opted for a little Crescent Moon Charm Necklace to add a little flare to the dress and finally finished it all off with some Ray-Ban Gold Aviators. This is definitely something I would wear to the park or for a picnic!
