Rag & Bone jeans
Leigh Lezark stopped for the cameras at the the Rag & Bone Fall 2016 show during New York Fashion Week. The DJ wore a Rag & Bone look by pairing together their Capri in White Leather with the Sheriden top under their Range bomber jacket.
Leigh is probably one of my favorites to get sightings of, even if we don’t get many of her. Her style is always impeccable and she knows how to play with proportions, like here with the mix of the crop top with the oversized jacket. It tones down the pairing of the shirt and leather pants to give a more casual appeal. What do you think of this look here? Striped jeans have always been an underrated style, in my opinion. When it comes to adding a bit of life to your look, they are the perfect choice to go for. Rag & Bone has released their new Capri in Bengal Stripe that is all that yet still has a subtlety to them that will work into any closet whether you carry a more punk attitude or a more chic vibe.
The style comes in their always flattering Skinny Capri, a cropped style that hits above the ankle, that will work for any body type. But attention to detail doesn’t just regard the fit with these jeans here. The stripes also got the same level of attention with the choice of width that enhances the cut to keep it flattering.
The wash was approached in a subtle manner by keeping it neutral. Unlike the stark contrasts of the styles in the past, these stripes are muted without taking away the life that stripes offer. It is definitely a style that I can see many taking interest in and having fun with. What do you think of Rag & Bone’s take on striped jeans? Behati Prinsloo was spotted making her way through LAX Airport to catch a flight out of Los Angeles, California. The model kept it comfortable with a pair of the Rag & Bone Marimar pants with a shaggy coat and a pair of Adidas sneakers.
The look of these jeans still amaze me. The digital printing is so well done and the best that I have seen of all the styles when the trend was kicking off. How many of you are still fans of these jeans? You can click here to purchase these jeans from SHOPBOP.
My review this month is going to be on the Rag & Bone Fit 1 in Waterloo. Ever since I first saw these, I instantly wanted to try them out. They are one of the best blues that I have seen in a while because there is great detail to them that feels authentic and only adds to their appeal. Definitely a pair that I could not be more proud of hitting the market.
To start, I took these in my usual size 28. I didn’t realize that they were button-fly at first, so I was a bit hesitant at first as button-fly do tend to run smaller. These though, fit just like a pair with a zipper-fly. That’s something that I love about Rag & Bone is their consistency with their jeans regardless of details.
The legs are cut pretty slim and I would say they are on the slimmer side of a straight leg cut. These also have a lower rise than expected for men’s jeans, which I actually am a fan of because it adds to the edgy appeal of the jeans. They aren’t a women’s low, but low enough to have a modern fit that works well with the vintage feel of the wash. Though I am someone that does like stacking on their jeans, these are just a tad short for me at 32″. There is some stacking, but I personally would prefer them to have a bit more length to them.
What surprises me the most about these jeans was the fabrication. They have a really soft hand and quite a bit of stretch to them. I was not expecting this at all as they look like a washed pair of rigid denim. This definitely gets a thumbs up from me as they feel as though they are a pair of sweatpants and can be worn all day. The wash is my favorite part. I first saw these on Justin Theroux and just instantly fell in love them because of light blue and repaired detailing.
These have a sandy blue wash to them that for the most part is great on its own, but Rag & Bone took it up another level and added some distressing. Clean distressing that complements the wash really well. There are slash knees and repaired tears at the upper inner thighs at both the front and back of the jeans. These are actual repair detailing as they have denim patches underneath as reinforcement. So there is no fear of them opening up as you move around.
Overall, if you are looking for a really comfortable pair of distressed jeans, these are the ones to get. They have a great fit that will look great on many body types and they feel fresh from the other distressed styles out for men right now. I definitely recommend these.
