Nina Dobrev and co-star/boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder, were seen flying out of LAX after the Teen Choice awards. Their show, Vampire Diaries, won in 5 different categories including, Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Choice TV Actor: Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Choice TV: Female Scene Stealer and Choice TV: Male Scene Stealer.

Nina Dobrev was seen doing some shopping on LA’s Robertson Boulevard, where it looks like she was approached by a male fan. She recently shared who she wanted to see star on her hit series, Vampire Diaries. She said, “Who [will play Klaus] we don’t know yet. I know they’ve been going through rigorous casting. I think it’d be awesome if it was Sacha Baron Cohen using his Austrian accent. Like, ‘Hello, my name is Klaus. How are you? I want to suck your blood’. I think it’d be great if he is the opposite of what everyone is expecting.”

Ian Somerhalder was making his way through LAX Airport in Los Angeles, California. He chose his staple pair of Diesel jeans for the flight. Ian looks a lot younger than his real age. I think he can really pass off being in his mid-20s.

This is kind of old news, but I still wonder about this. I wonder what the fate of The Vampire Diaries would have been if the casting went as it would have originally? Ashlee Simpson was the original choice for Elena before Nina Dobrev. Can you imagine Ashlee as Elena? I don’t watch the show but apparently producers chose well because Melrose Place is no longer on air.
