Nicole Richie was spotted hiding her face behind her Balenciaga bag as she arrived to dinner. The Fashion Star judge wore a pair of Ksubi Spray On Jeans in Black Night with patent leather boots and a Helmut Lang Jacket. I love these jeans on Nicole and I like that she wore them with the ankle-zips undone. Wearing them this way gives them somewhat of a grungier vibe to the other more put together pieces. Which I think is true to the Ksubi soul.

Nicole Richie spends some time relaxing in the sun while on vacation in St. Barts. She wore her cut off Levi’s denim shorts over her blue bathing suit as a cover up before heading to the beach.

Nicole has been a big fan of Levi’s and has worn everything from vintage jeans to vests, but we haven’t seen her in these cut offs before. I love these on her and hopefully we’ll see her style them in a couple of different ways.

Nicole Richie was spotted out and about in New York City. The designer wore a pair of the J Brand Leather Leggings in Noir with a fringe top and a Helmut Lang Mongolian Fur Jacket.

It’s been quite a while since Nicole has made an appearance here on DenimBlog, but when we do get a sighting it is definitely a statement sighting, like this look. Nicole Richie was seen spending some quality time with daughter Harlow. The two spent Easter Sunday playing at a local park before meeting up with the rest of their family at the beach.

Nicole wore her Erin Wasson x RVCA shorts with a slouchy striped tee and flats. Usually we see Nicole wearing these shorts over a pair of tights, but I think they look great dressed down as well. You can see how Nicole has styled these jeans in the past here.

Neon Denim – This trend has been slowly creeping up for a while now. So many denim brands have brought out their own take on the trend and it varies from completely fluorescent to a more subtle shade of neon. I think it’s a great trend for the Summer months! Jessica Alba has already opted into it!

Pastel – I adore pastel shades! There is just something about the candy and ice-cream tones that makes me think of warm sunny evenings and fresh air. Pastels have been released in so many different variations of colour and clothing, denim being one of the strongest ones, however I think it looks wonderful in blazers and tops too. Mint is the strongest pastel shade for SS12 so far, everyone seems to be loving mint!

Floral Denim – This is a trend that shot onto the denim market unexpectedly. I wasn’t expecting to see such bold floral print on jeans, but then denim is getting bolder and brighter every month, so I guess it’s no surprise! Rochelle Wiseman wore a pair of floral jeans and looked really good in them! Ciara and Jenna Dewan-Tatum have also sported the trend and I can see it getting bigger!

Animal Print – This print has been around for a while now, especially leopard, coming in everything possible from jeans, jackets and tops to shoes, bags and accessories, but it is here to stay. We can expect to be seeing more animal print for the coming season. It’s definitely an easy trend to incorporate in your everyday life, especially when you pick something subtle!

Tangerine – Orange, more importantly, tangerine, has been voted the colour of the year for 2012. It’s definitely going to be popping up everywhere when it comes to fashion and I am excited! I love the shade and I think it suits most people. It’s a colour that can be worn everyday and look really fun and delicious in the hot weather!

Nicole Richie was seen leaving her local gym in Studio City. It does look like she’s switched things up when it comes to her gym attire. Normally we see Nicole in a Hudson or Paige denim jacket, but this time she chose a customized version from Levi’s. This is definitely a different look for who usually sticks to bohemian rather than rocker styles, but I think it suits her well. I hope we see her wear it again with something besides work out clothes! I wonder if she had it customized herself?
