We have seen many collaborations over the past few years, but we have rarely, if ever, seen the magic of what will come between a jewelry designer and denim…until now with Jacquie Aiche and MOTHER Denim joining forces. After prepping for the shows in Paris, the Aiche felt a void in her customer’s (“The Tribe”) closets and the idea of the collaboration came into fruition.
Instead of going the expected route of what might of come from a jewelry designer and a denim brand, they went for something that feels organic and classic with a vintage feel by getting inspired by Aiche’s recently launched exotic skin jacket collection. All made-to-order, you can choose between Eye of Thor, Pyramid, and Sweet Leaf in exotic skins like snake and deer as the main detail. Then top it all off with your own personal touch with the lettering. How many of you are loving this collaboration as much as I am? You can click here to see how you can get your own.
I am happy that we are starting to see bootcut/flares out more frequently again. Though a classic style, I don’t think it’ll be as prominent as it used to be. I also enjoy the way Gigi casually styled them here. It has a sort of Mary-Kate Olsen 2005 vibe to it that I still love. What do you think of Gigi’s look here? Jennifer Garner was all smiles while on a stroll through Los Angeles, California with a friend. The actress wore a pair of the MOTHER Denim The Looker Skinny in Here Kitty, Kitty with a leather jacket and some sandals.
What I like about MOTHER is their signature detail on their back pocket. There is a timeless feel to it that I think even decades from now will still feel relevant, along with the name. It’s an idea, I think, overall worked out. You can click here to purchase these jeans from SHOPBOP for $196.
Candice Swanepoel was spotted arriving into Los Angeles at LAX Airport with her mom. The model wore a pair of the MOTHER Denim High Waist Looker Crop in Glass Slipper with some snake print boots and a slouchy white t shirt.
No white after Labor Day is definitely a rule that no longer holds and as Candice demonstrates here, it is classic. I think we will be getting more sightings of all white looks as the months go by. It feels fresh and smarter than it has ever felt before. It is also a great change from the darker moody tones that is normally associated with the colder seasons. You can click here to purchase a similar pair by MOTHER from SHOPBOP for $98.
