Ashley Olsen was spotted arriving at the Louis Vuitton show to support friend Nicolas Ghesquiere for his first show in Paris, France. The designer wore her favorite TEXTILE Elizabeth and James Johnny jeans in Onyx with a jacket from her own line, The Row.
I love how streamlined this look is here. The way the jacket is sculpted enhances the way she cuffed her jeans and the single undone button at the bottom helps pick up the zipper. You can click here to purchase TEXTILE Elizabeth and James from SHOPBOP.
Kate Mara posed for the cameras while heading in to the Louis Vuitton FW 2014 show in Paris. Kate wore a Louis Vuitton Denim jacket and dress with a pair of snakeskin print heels. I really like the seaming details on both the dress and the jacket and how there is an exposed seam, which adds a bit of texture with the fraying.
Louis Vuitton’s SS 2014 collection featured a lot of denim, including a pair that Rihanna recently wore, which was fun to see. The Spring collection was the last under Marc Jacob’s direction, and Kate’s outfit is from the pre-fall 2014 collection (after Jacob’s departure) so it will be interesting to see if Nicholas Ghesquiere incorporates denim into any of his future collections.
I find this cover to be great and refreshing for Rihanna as her last two covers felt more stiff. For me, this one feels lively and vibrant and more personal to the superstar. What do you readers think of the cover?
I have always been waiting for the days when models started gracing the covers of US magazines again and it is slowly but surely happening. Next to nab a cover of her own is one of my favorite models of all time, Daria Werbowy. I could not be happier because she is not only one of the best models, but she is a lover of denim.
For the editorial, the model wore an array of high-end pieces, but the pair of Louis Vuitton Checkered Boyfriend Jeans from Spring 2014 was definitely an eye catcher. Check out the cover of Daria in Proenza Schouler, as well as a few more shots of the editorial below.
