Lily Allen was featured in Vogue’s “Today I’m Wearing” post earlier this month. Lily wore a pair of the Goldsign Scene Skinny Crop Jeans in Karina. Lily recently tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Sam Cooper. I thought she looked lovely and classic. I wish Lily and Sam all the happiness!
I am usually a fan of Lily’s style, specifically her earlier years. I love when she would wear her Jordans. Lately I have noticed she has gone a bit more feminine. Less sneakers and more heels. I think this look is okay. The color of the shirt is a nice shade on her skin. Maybe I just miss the days of her amazing sneakers? You can click here to purchase these jeans at RevolveClothing for $157.
The Donna Ida Denim Drive just happened earlier this week and it had a special appearance by Lily Allen. Lily and her sister, Sarah Owen, kindly went to the drive to help promote the partnership with the store as well as their own store, Lucy in Disguise, at the Westfield location. All the jeans that were donated at this event will be donated to the Jeans for Genes cause, which goes toward helping children with genetic disorders. I think this a great cause and I’m happy to see that it had such a great turn-out.
A trend that the celebs seem to love is the Panel Trend. I remember the first time seeing this look was on Lily Allen. She was wearing a pair of gray Superfine Legging jeans with black jersey stretch panels placed on the inseam. Who knew she would have been the front runner of this trend? Now many brands have followed behind with their own versions.
This trend, I believe, is a more polished take on the patchwork and repaired trend. But instead of having dispersed patches all over the jeans, these panels are placed to add a little more detail and some are even placed to give an illusion. What is the illusion? Slimmer legs! Everyone wants those. There are tons of styles, but check out the few styles below from Cheap Monday, Erin Wasson x RVCA, 7 For All Mankind, Victoria Beckham Denim, Helmut Lang, and of course Superfine. You can find these styles at RevolveClothing, ShopBop, and Net-a-Porter.
Ahhh… Charity probably the best thing that anyone can do. For this coming drive, Donna Ida will be hosting a denim drive with singer Lily Allen. Just bring in your old pairs of jeans to participating Donna Ida stores and for the kind offer you will receive a £20 voucher off your next pair. For the jeans that are donated, they will be styled and sold at Lily Allen’s new pop up store “Lucy in Disguise” and 50% of the proceeds will go to Jeans for Genes. There is nothing better than helping others. You can check out the locations of the Donna Ida stores below and click here to join our contest with Donna Ida.
