Jessica Simpson wore a dark wash denim jacket over a leopard print maxi dress to show off her big baby bump as she carried her daughter Maxwell into a lunch date in Los Angeles, California.

I had no idea that Jess was so pregnant! I hadn’t seen any candid shots of her in a while so I wasn’t aware she was due soon. Maxi dresses and denim jackets seem to be such a big trend at the moment! Are any of you wearing the combination?

Spotted catching a flight to New York, Jessica Simpson smiled for the cameras as she made her way into LAX. Jessica was flying to New York to appear on Katie Couric’s new show, Katie. Jessica appeared on the show to discuss her newborn daughter Maxwell and her weight loss struggles.

Jessica wore an all black outfit, with an embroidered tunic and a pair of Goldsign Sissi platform flares in Focus. I think these are a great pair of jeans for Jessica, since she’s shorter, the flare makes her legs look longer, especially when worn with heels. What do you think of Jessica’s outfit?

Neon Denim – This trend has been slowly creeping up for a while now. So many denim brands have brought out their own take on the trend and it varies from completely fluorescent to a more subtle shade of neon. I think it’s a great trend for the Summer months! Jessica Alba has already opted into it!

Pastel – I adore pastel shades! There is just something about the candy and ice-cream tones that makes me think of warm sunny evenings and fresh air. Pastels have been released in so many different variations of colour and clothing, denim being one of the strongest ones, however I think it looks wonderful in blazers and tops too. Mint is the strongest pastel shade for SS12 so far, everyone seems to be loving mint!

Floral Denim – This is a trend that shot onto the denim market unexpectedly. I wasn’t expecting to see such bold floral print on jeans, but then denim is getting bolder and brighter every month, so I guess it’s no surprise! Rochelle Wiseman wore a pair of floral jeans and looked really good in them! Ciara and Jenna Dewan-Tatum have also sported the trend and I can see it getting bigger!

Animal Print – This print has been around for a while now, especially leopard, coming in everything possible from jeans, jackets and tops to shoes, bags and accessories, but it is here to stay. We can expect to be seeing more animal print for the coming season. It’s definitely an easy trend to incorporate in your everyday life, especially when you pick something subtle!

Tangerine – Orange, more importantly, tangerine, has been voted the colour of the year for 2012. It’s definitely going to be popping up everywhere when it comes to fashion and I am excited! I love the shade and I think it suits most people. It’s a colour that can be worn everyday and look really fun and delicious in the hot weather!
