HL Jeans Co. Autumn/Winter 2011 Styles
Last season saw the introduction of new fit styles to the HL Jeans Co. portfolio. The collection has continued to build on the success of these with the inauguration of new denim and exciting chino lines.
Denim such as the ‘Bradley Raw’ is a five pocket slim fit, straight leg, button fly, with branded rivet ticket pocket, that is perfect for the ‘pin rolled’ look. The Kendall Medium also brings a new wash and finish to the collection with knee repair, hand sanding and paint daubed detailing. This season we also see the return of the Premium Selvedge denim and the Brett Raw, which is an easy carrot fit, on trend jean. The Brett Raw features a double belt loop at centre back with a ‘Brett’ leather patch on the back waistband. Finish options available are – Medium Wash, Raw, Dark Vintage, Medium Vintage, Dark Wash and Dirty Wash.
The legwear range now also offers two styles of chino, the ‘Hampton’ and the ‘Franklin’, available in 5 colours including the striking ‘Berry’, ‘Drill’ and ‘Merlot’- all key tones for A/W11.
Charlie Simpson (originally from the band Busted) was seen shopping at the HL Jeans Co. store on Carnaby Street last week too! I wonder what he picked up?

Celebs in Henri Lloyd Jeans
Henri Lloyd jeans are becoming a lot more popular! A few celebs have been spotted in them recently so I thought I would do a post on a couple of them. The Hoosiers were seen shopping at the HL Jeans co store in Carnaby Street, London a long with last years X Factor winner Joe McElderry. The Hoosiers also wore one of their T-Shirts on the National Lottery show a little while ago.
Have any of you tried the brand? You can find out more about them at HenriLloyd.com. I think they look pretty nice! This isn’t the first time we have seen celebs in the brand though, we spotted Danyl Johnson from last years X Factor as well. I wonder who we will see next?
Danyl Johnson in Henri Lloyd
X Factor singer Danyl Johnson was seen visiting the Henri Lloyd store in Manchester, England while wearing HL Jeans Co Denim. This blog post is mainly for our UK readers or those of you who followed last years X Factor. I wonder if Danyl will come out with a song or an album? He had such a great voice, too bad he finished 4th.
Denim Brands: HL Jeans
HL Jeans Co sail in to Spring/Summer 2010 by taking the collection back to its nautical roots by focusing on the heritage that the Henri Lloyd brand has built its foundations on. Mixing design and technical detailing inspired from the main line collection, the design team have incorporated these styles to the already established fashion focused youth label to create a contemporary men’s wear brand.
The Spring/Summer outer wear collection delivers strong fashion focused styles with a seasonal colour palette ranging from bright reds to indigo, yellow and navy blue. The collection is then overlaid with key technical shapes and detailing borrowed from the brands naval history including enamelled buttons, welded pockets, nautical inspired block detailing and wax finishes. The Kenfield jacket follows the classic naval design structure with pod hood and reflective stitch embellishments.
The Naval theme taken on for Spring/Summer 10 runs throughout the entire collection, making the most impact on the T-shirt and Jersey ranges. HL Jeans Co has used a selection of naval inspired graphics and logos as shown in pieces such as the ‘true to the sea’ T-shirt as well as other sailing graphics. The collection once again pulls on the Henri Lloyd heritage as it includes the use of the Smithfold branding, which represents where the brand began and features on several pieces of jersey wear.
The S/S10 collection has also introduced the new HL Jeans logo on some key pieces, the new logo lends the collection a more branded look which ties it in with the existing Henri Lloyd ranges.
The HL Jeans Co S/S10 denim selection offers a variety of styles to allow consumers to buy into the jean line ranges from the more skinny fit right through to the straight leg style. The overall design of the denim offering has moved towards more stylised pieces using bright indigos, block white and greys as well as the more traditional stone washes and the blue rinse.
