This weeks review is on a pair of Goldsign Misfit jeans in Chimie which I got sent from the brand. I haven’t ever tried Goldsign before but I do know quite a lot about the brand so it’s nice to finally wear a pair.
These are supposed to be a straight leg slim fitting jean but I got sent a sample pair and I think the sizing is wrong as the 27 fits me more like a boyfriend jean. I think this shows how versatile they are though, they can fit really slim like they are supposed to or they can still look good worn loose like a boyfriend jean. I find a lot of jeans that are supposed to fit skinny and tight look really bad worn loosely because they are not cut right, but these look fine. I also cuffed the hems as they are quite long, they would be fine if they were worn with heels but since I am wearing flats they definitely need cuffing. I also think boyfriend jeans look best cuffed.
Even though this is a grey wash, it does attract fluff. I usually find it happens with black jeans the most but if you have pets in the house make sure you store these away as they will be a pair that picks up all the hairs. It’s nothing negative about the jeans though, it happens a lot of the time and it can’t be helped! I do like the wash though, it’s nice to do a grey wash as I am used to doing the blues or coloured denim. It’s a grey that has some depth to it because it has whiskering and lighter areas on it.
I can’t really tell a lot from these about how flattering the back pocket placement is because they don’t fit me tightly but from what I have seen on fit models and celebs, they look really good. The forward stitching details on the belt loops and tops of the pockets are really cute too, I like that detail on them! They are comfortable as well. Are any of you a fan of Goldsign and want to comment your opinion on them too? Buy these jeans at Diani for $235.
Goldsign has launched a new line called Goldskin. The pieces of the clothing will be made in amazing suede. There will be a jacket, Denise (above), a baggy cuffed short, Faye, a mid-calf length skirt, Jane, and a cropped high-waisted skinny, Jenny.
I knew that suede was going to be the next big thing after leather. I am so happy to see that more brands are getting into the market. I can’t wait to see the rest of this collection.
Here is the brand new Holiday 2011 Look Book for Goldsign. They feature some flared/trouser style jeans as well as a black leather skinny, a waxed red skinny, a mustard colour corduroy skinny, some white and black denim all along with their classic blue bootcuts and skinny jeans.
I think it’s a really varied collection and there is definitely something for everyone here. I love the waxed red skinnies and the back shot of those flared jeans. So pretty! What do you think of the new styles? I can definitely see some celebs rocking some of these jeans. I have a pair of Goldsign jeans that I plan on reviewing in a couple of weeks too so stay tuned.
The Founder and Creative Director of Goldsign, Adriano Goldschmied, greeted guests while they shopped and waited in line for an intimate astrology and tarot card reading at the Goldsign Fashion’s Night Out event. Their US Exclusive “Misfit” slim leg corduroy’s in “Pumpkin” were available for purchase amongst a variety of other denim styles during the night and the first 20 people to buy a pair of jeans received a limited edition Goldsign makeup bag. Did any of you attend this event?
