G-Star/Elle Women’s Night
During the last week of October, G-Star hosted Women’s Night in its monobrand stores worldwide. From London to New York to Tokyo, G-Star stores turned into a fashion experience where women were advised on the perfect jeans while enjoying music, drinks and beauty.
The Women’s Night in Soho attracted a group of over 150 fashionable ladies. Besides shopping for the perfect denim, women received “Skinny Jeans” Salon Effects manicures by Sally Hansen, hair touch ups by Warren Tricomi and make-up by Bobbi Brown. Stylists were on hand to walk guests through G-Star’s staple 3301 basic denim and the brand’s latest 3D denim evolutions. Guests also shopped and explored G-Star’s RAW Essentials and Correct Line offerings while DJ Chelsea Leyland set the sound for the evening.
Elle’s Market Editor Jade Frampton was the evening’s host and Ida Kay from G-Star is pictured above. I was invited to the event but unfortunately living in England meant I couldn’t go! I would have loved to meet Ida, she’s so nice! The pictures look great though. Did any of you go?

G-Star Announces Women’s Night
Today, all G-Star stores worldwide will be hosting a Women’s Night. The G-Star Women’s Night concept provides guests with a backstage feeling in a fun environment for hair and make-up touch-ups, manicures, and hors d’oeuvres, while receiving professional styling tips to help them find the perfect denim. The G-Star style for women is defined by the combination of opposing elements and influences – tough & feminine, denim & silk, raw & chic – to create a unique, strong look that makes them feel confident.

G-Star’s RAW Magazine Available For iPad!
During this month of September, G-Star RAW begins the global distribution of over 4 million copies of its 5th RAW Magazine. Alongside the print version, the denim brand has also created a RAW Magazine for iPad! This interactive digital version includes video content on most of the topics discussed in the RAW Magazine and showcases more images.
“The RAW Magazine pulls readers closer into G-Star’s world. In the current edition, G-Star tells you more about its new and unorthodox brand face Vincent Gallo; talks to the daughter of iconic modernist Jean Prouvé about G-Star’s collaboration with Vitra; shows the must-have jackets for the season; and gives you a closer look into the G-Star women’s collections.”

G-Star launches Motorcycle inspired Anniversary Collection
In honor of the 15th Anniversary for their famed Elwood pants, G-Star is launching a capsule collection. The collection, which was inspired by motorcyclists, centers around the Elwood pant, which helped to launch the brand to fame. The collection will also feature a variety of other pieces, such as jackets and shorts. The collection should be in stores later this year.
