Another French fashion house that was inspired by the sea this season was Chanel. The brand that many lust over. This season some looks were airy and others were structured. Karl Lagerfeld also featured some looks that were worthy of his couture collection with all the detailing that was featured in them.
The detailing this season mimicked the the grooves and the natural beauty of the color that that they have. That didn’t mean he left the blues out either. There were looks that had marine blue incorporated. What is a marine theme without blue? It also had classic Chanel pieces in the classic Chanel fabric, tweed. The detailing didn’t just end in the clothing itself either. The shoes featured an urchin shell as the heel. You can see the special appearance by Florence Welch as well as click through the new Chanel collection below.
Florence Welch made an appearance on Good Morning America late last week. She wore a pair of Levi’s cut-offs. I never would have thought that Florence would wear as much denim as she does. It is definitely a staple that I think everyone should have.
I like this look a lot. It is Woodstock, but doesn’t look dated. Maybe it is the way that Florence carries herself. She has that “Drew Barrymore” personality to her that allows her to try many looks without looking like she is trying. You can click here to purchase Levi’s shorts from UrbanOutfitters.
The lovely Florence Welch was spotted catching a flight at Heathrow Airport. She wore a pair of the J Brand Gigi jeans in Black Twill. These jeans are amazing on Florence. I find that she is one of the celebrities who can wear just about anything and make it look amazing. I love the pairing of these jeans with ankle boots. I think cropped flares and ankle boots are a match made in heaven. She is just one of the coolest people out right now.
Florence has just been named the new face of Gucci. I cannot wait to see that campaign when it is out. Gucci designer Frida Giannini said when she was designing the collection she was thinking of a mysterious mystical women and I think Florence is the best pick for what she described. She makes one of the best muses, I find. You can click here to purchase these jeans at Singer22 for $158.
Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine graces the cover of the June/July music issue of Nylon Magazine which hits the stands on the 31st May. Staying true to her quirky style she wore an outfit which consisted of a top and denim shorts by Topshop and a cardigan by Vivienne Westwood Gold Label for the cover.
For the photo inside the magazine, which also contains denim, Florence wore a denim vest by Urban Renewal, One of a Kind, a top by Missoni, a denim skirt by Gap, shoes by Chanel, a unicorn ring by Leivankash and a rose gold ring by Cartier. What do you think of her style for this shoot? I really like the images.
