Erin Wasson x RVCA
Alessandra Ambrosio was spotted partying it up last night in St. Barts. She was wearing a pair of Erin Wasson x RVCA Chain Gang shorts. I’m so happy that Alessandra has become a regular denim wearer. I really enjoyed writing about her amazing style. It is very rock boho and sort of gypsy. It just has a really cool vibe to it. Let’s hope for more Alessandra sightings in 2011.
I am also sad that Erin Wasson will no longer be designing for RVCA. I thought her collections were really great. I especially loved her last one, which kicked off the all white trend way before many of the other designers that showed this season. Were/are you readers a fan of the Erin Wasson x RVCA collection? You can click here to purchase these jeans from the RVCA website for $300.
Emma Roberts was spotted doing some shopping in West Hollywood, California. She wore a pair of Ksubi jeans with a striped shirt and her favorite Isabel Marant ankle boots. Emma seems to love these boots. She has been spotted in them with many of her jeans sightings.
Emma seems to have quite a big selection of denim in her closet. She has been spotted in J Brand, Erin Wasson x RVCA, Ksubi, Vince and more before. I wonder what we will be seeing her in next?
Emma Roberts leaves dinner with a mystery male. Twilight star Kellen Lutz was also spotted eating dinner at the same place, but the two were spotted leaving separately. Perhaps they’re a new couple?!
Emma was channeling a grunge look, wearing a flannel shirt over a pair of cut off shorts and tights. She’s wearing Erin Wasson x RVCA shorts, which she wore in a similar manner before. I really liked the Erin Wasson x RVCA collaboration but apparently, it is no more! Erin Wasson announced that she will no longer be collaborating with the brand, so get your goods while you still can!
A trend that the celebs seem to love is the Panel Trend. I remember the first time seeing this look was on Lily Allen. She was wearing a pair of gray Superfine Legging jeans with black jersey stretch panels placed on the inseam. Who knew she would have been the front runner of this trend? Now many brands have followed behind with their own versions.
This trend, I believe, is a more polished take on the patchwork and repaired trend. But instead of having dispersed patches all over the jeans, these panels are placed to add a little more detail and some are even placed to give an illusion. What is the illusion? Slimmer legs! Everyone wants those. There are tons of styles, but check out the few styles below from Cheap Monday, Erin Wasson x RVCA, 7 For All Mankind, Victoria Beckham Denim, Helmut Lang, and of course Superfine. You can find these styles at RevolveClothing, ShopBop, and Net-a-Porter.
