Natasha Poly & Sasha Pivovarova in Denim in Vogue Paris

Check out this Paris Vogue editorial featuring Natasha Poly and Sasha Pivovarova styled by editor Emmanuelle Alt. When Emmanuelle Alt styles a shoot, you can count on it to be amazing. Whether it be her styling couture or a shoot like this where the models look relaxed.

There is a ton of denim featured in this shoot. There is a pair of magenta One Teaspoon shorts, a couple of pairs of Hudsons (purple and white), a few Marant pieces (jackets, shirts, cords, and sweaters), G-star, DSquared2 and the brand that seems to be the star of the shoot, Plein Sud. I think the styling is great. The pairing of the slouch jeans with the House of Harlow moccasins is just great. Also the Plein Sud leather pants above are just amazing. The lace detail is great. Gisele Bundchen in Hudson and Diesel for French Vogue

Gisele Bundchen graces the most recent issue of French Vogue shot by Inez & Vinoodh. In the shoot, which makes me think of The Motorcycle Diaries (great movie, highly recommend it), Gisele looks to be backpacking through St. Barts.

The looks in the shoot consisted of clothing by Vivienne Westwood, Roberto Cavalli, Michael Kors, Donna Karan, Isabel Marant, and some more. You can see Gisele wearing a pair of white, ripped Hudson jeans above and a high-waisted pair by Diesel below. It would not be an Emmanuelle Alt shoot without denim. Emmanuelle Alt in J Brand

Emmanuelle Alt made an appearance back in late January at the Gucci/Vogue Paris Dinner in honor of designer Frida Giannini. Emmanuelle wore a pair of jeans from one of her favorite brands, J Brand. This time she chose the Lexington in Shadow. I like that these are a bit looser, like trousers. It gives them a more professional feel, in lack of a better term.

One thing that I love most about Emmanuelle’s style is…she loves low rise jeans/pants. Though these aren’t low, she is wearing them low. She, with her personal style, along with what she consults for, rarely have shown high-rise pairs, if anything their high rises are the standard medium rise of many other brands. Emmanuelle Alt in J Brand

Emmanuelle Alt was spotted making her way to the Calvin Klein show during New York Fashion Week earlier this month. Taking a liking to the brand, like many editors, Emmanuelle chose a pair of J Brands for the show. This time she chose a pair of the Lovestory in Ink. These jeans are so classic and it’s a nice change to see her in another style and wash besides skinny and black.

Emmanuelle has said that she loves simpler jeans and thinks that they should not be designed. This explains why she hasn’t worn any of the styles by the houses that she consults for. Also, Emmanuelle recently stepped down from her consulting role at Balmain. She will be replaced by Melanie Ward from Helmut Lang. I’m interested in seeing how the fashion house will change. Emmanulle Alt Loves Topshop Jeans

I just came across this video of the new Editor-in-Chief of French Vogue, Emmanulle Alt. In the video Emmanuelle is being interviewed by Hilary Alexander at the Chanel Couture show. She states that though her style is rock ‘n’ roll, the magazine will not be all rock ‘n’ roll.

Also in the video, Hilary Alexander asked what she was wearing. Emmanuelle states what else but of course Balmain and vintage. But one thing came as a surprise, Topshop. She says she loves Topshop and that when she is in London she makes a bee line towards the store because they make the best jeans. This only comes as a surprise due to the fact that she is one of the masterminds behind the styling of Balmain and Isabel Marant.
