Current/Elliott’s New Leopard Corduroy
Current/Elliott’s famous leopard print jeans have been all over the world in the past year or so. The girls have now brought them back in a Fall/Autumn appropriate material, corduroy! I am a huge fan of the denim leopard print Current/Elliott’s and I own them in Grey and Burgundy already, but I never chose the Camel colour.
I fell in love with these in the Camel shade from the moment I saw them though, I love cords (even though I don’t own any) and I adore this colour as it feels more intense and vibrant than the denim version. It also feels like it has a little bit of dip dye in there since the calves transition into a darker tone. What do you think of the corduroy version of the famous leopard print? You can buy them online at Matches here.
Dakota Fanning in Current/Elliott and a Denim Shirt
Heading to the set of her new film, Very Good Girls, Dakota Fanning wore a denim shirt with a pair of Current/Elliott skinny jeans and boots. I think that this outfit would be a lot cuter if Dakota wasn’t wearing such a large denim shirt, together it looks a bit too sloppy.
Dakota is busy filming in Brooklyn with Elizabeth Olsen and the two were spotted out filming scenes together earlier in the week. Dakota seems to have a busy summer off from school, next she’ll be filming Furious Angel.

Katie Holmes in a Current/Elliott Denim Jacket in Mississippi Blue
I really love Katie Holmes’ outfit here! She wore a yellow silk dress with a Current/Elliott snap jacket in Mississippi Blue with a pair of Rag & Bone boots.
I love how the Mississippi Blue wash really pops against the yellow of her dress, it looks very summery! The only thing I’m not crazy about is her boots, I think a pair of flats, or sandals even, would look more flattering with this outfit. You can buy this jacket online from Farfetch.com for $300.

Denim Review: Current/Elliott The Skinny Jeans in Vintage Zebra
This weeks review is on the brand new Current/Elliott The Skinny jeans in Vintage Zebra. I bought these on Shopbop.com as I had a voucher to spend. I originally saw them in London a couple of months ago at the Autumn/Winter 2012 press day and I fell in love with them the moment I saw them. I couldn’t take my eyes off of them. These are the next in their animal print jeans after the famous leopard print and boa print.
The fit of these is their classic The Skinny cut so it features a longer inseam and a slim cut all the way down with a lower rise. Out of all of the Current/Elliott cuts, my favourite would have to be the Stiletto, so these would have gained more points if they were in that cut as The Skinny doesn’t fit me as perfectly as the Stiletto. I still think they are a nice cut because they are skinny all over as skinny jeans should be, but I can’t change my personal preference on jeans. These are more suited to longer leg ladies in my opinion. As I have reviewed Current/Elliott quite a few times before, I wont go into the pocket placement etc again as it’s the same as before.
As for the Vintage Zebra wash, I still think it’s one of the coolest washes around. As it’s faded and more vintage looking, it’s definitely not too in your face at all, it works quite well. My only issue with the print is the horizontal stripes, I feel like they make my legs look a little wider than they are. I know that’s always the illusion with horizontal stripes widening things and vertical lines making things longer, but I don’t suppose there is anyway around this since it’s zebra print after all. I did notice that the stripes do form a line in the middle as they have a gap, so it sort of creates a V illusion. I think if they didn’t have this and the zebra print went all around, they would make your legs look even wider, so this definitely helps where the print is concerned, as it is really pretty.
I took my usual Current/Elliott size of 26 in these as the brand does run bigger than most others, so I always size down. They are quite fitted and tight to begin with, but they stretch out quite quickly so it’s not that bad having them tight. They are lightweight in material and stretchy so they are comfortable to wear, even when tight.
Also, as a side note, please do excuse my hair in these photos, it got wet while taking them because of the constant rain over here. I had to dash out while it stopped, but it started again and I couldn’t avoid it, ha ha. What’s your opinion on these jeans? Do you think you like them as much as their leopard print? I think I am still fond of the leopard print more, but these are definitely growing on me. You can buy these online at Shopbop.com for $188.
