Citizens of Humanity
Citizens of Humanity is one that has been embracing the heritage of denim more and I am not talking in terms of just wash either, but in terms of fabrication. They first started incorporating this aesthetic with their ‘Premium Vintage’ line and with every season they had started slowly getting deeper back into classicism. With this mindset, for the new season they have released selvedge styles for women.
Selvedge has been something that has been put on the back burner for women as super stretch fabrications took over, but to embrace the ‘Modern Vintage’ trend they have decided to take the theme full on. Their take on the trend has a true focus and executed perfectly with the fits, washes and even detailing. They feel classic and organic with the washes, but are tailored to fit for the modern women. How many of you are loving the focus that Citizens has been putting into their jeans? You can click here to purchase these styles from the Citizens of Humanity website.
Citizens of Humanity is a label that jump started the ‘Modern Vintage’ trend that is happening at the moment with their ‘Premium Vintage’ line and there is no stopping them from continuing that love for that old school look with a modern approach.
Newest to the line is their ‘Shadow Pocket’ collection. The line holds the same concept of their Premium Vintage while giving it a new spin with reconstruction. They have worked with the idea of where the jeans naturally fade and hold their colors and put it on full display. The back pockets were given new placements and though moved to show off unworn areas, the jeans still have a flattering back and that is something you can count on by Citizens.
Though inspired by the old, the idea isn’t just limited to one cut. Citizens offers this new wash in Liya Classic High Rise Jean, the Carlie Ultra High Rise Skinny, and the Rocket High Rise Skinny Crop to suit their loyal fans. Not to mention that they will also be offering it in their new Cut-Off Mini, which is a style that is slowly gaining popularity again. Which cut are you looking forward to trying these in? I can definitely see the Liya (above) being a popular choice for many, as it works harmoniously with the wash.
Rihanna was spotted heading into the Lakers game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. For her favorite pastime, the PUMA Creative Director wore a pair of the Citizens of Humanity Corey Slouchy Slim in Distressed Natural with PUMA boots and a hoodie from her new Fall 2016 collection with the activewear. She finished her look off with a white anorak.
I have been into monochromatic white looks like this lately. Especially with the new season approaching, I think it is a great choice to go for. Also with the distressed styles that are out lately, they have a more casual vibe that is perfect for the everyday look. How many of you are excited to start wearing all white looks? Rihanna was spotted on her way out of the Sunset Marquis hotel in West Hollywood, California. The singer kept it casual in a pair her Citizens of Humanity Premium Vintage Arley Jeans in Ramone and a Rolling Stones baseball tee.
Rihanna is a huge fan of Citizens’ Premium Vintage collection and there are some new fits that I can see her wearing, like the Liya. I would love to see her wear a pair of those, as well as their Parker jeans. I can see her giving a great personal spin on those styles. These are an older style, but you can click here to purchase similar styles from the Citizens of Humanity website.
