A few weeks ago I went to the Black Orchid Showroom to see a preview of the Fall 2013 collection in New York. The collection had a lot of rich colors and fabrics which will be perfect for fall.

One of the first things I noticed about the collection were the fabrics. There are bright colored corduroy printed jeans (images 5-6) that have intricate patterns. One particular style that stood out to me was the moto- style jeans cut from a suede-like fabric. The fabric is soft and very luxurious feeling, but had more stretch and give than regular suede. There were also quite a few really soft buttery leather jackets and my favorite piece, a leather sleeve denim jacket (Image 7).

There were also a lot of great printed jeans, as well as moto-style jeans cut from regular denim, as well as Black Orchid’s skinny jeans in a variety of washes. You can see the images in the gallery below. Which do you like the most?

Here is the new Spring 2013 Look Book from Black Orchid. They have really gone all out with their new collection this time around! With floral, tribal and abstract prints, along with some plaid patterns, coloured ombre and marbling, all mixed in with some classic blues and block colours.

What makes this collection a little different to others is the fact that pretty much all of the jeans are in pastel tones. It really gives that Spring vibe! My favourite would have to be the Tropicana print with the leaves. What do you think of the new styles from Black Orchid for Spring 2013?
