Salt and Peppa busted out on the music scene in 1985. Their destroyed denim style is a great representation of the 1980’s. Ciara below shows that this is one fashion flashback that we love to have. So many celebs have come to love this destroyed look and I think this style has been recycled quite a few times in the last 40 years.

Check out the similarity of Madonna’s shorts and Miranda Cosgrove’s jeans too! Madonna may be one of the first pioneers of the messy chic look of the 80’s. From that also stemmed the destroyed jeans look that I don’t think is going away anytime soon.

This commercial is kind of old, but I just love it. It is really one of my favorites. It just seems like it was so much fun taping of the commercial in London. I love the “Block Party” concept of the commercial and the Dee Edwards song Why Can’t There Be Love being featured. It just makes me think of one of my all time favorite videos, Mariah Carey’s The Roof.

There is a ton of denim in the commercial along with the many celebrities. You can see David Beckham, Whitney Port, Agyness Deyn, Snoop Dogg, Noel Gallagher, Ciara, and a lot more jumping around and partying amongst each other. It is like a “Where is Waldo?” game in this commercial. Though many of the brands are obscure. One brand which definitely got noticed was a pair of white Siwy Jeans worn by Adrianne Bailon. How many brands can you readers spot in this commercial?

Staying true to her rockstar roots, Avril Lavigne wore a pair of shredded and studded jeans. She’s wearing Robin’s Gypsy medium broken jeans. First Ciara and now Avril! These jeans are amazing, true rock and roll with the distressing and studs. I love these and think they’d look great dressed up or down. What do you think of these jeans? I seriously think that Ciara is one of the hottest and most fit looking celebs I have ever seen; *she* makes the clothes look good. I love it when we catch her wearing some denim! Do you remember Tiffani Thiessen aka “Kelly” from “Saved by the Bell” in the photo above? That was from the late 1980’s/early 1990’s and it sure seems that both Beyonce and Kristen Stewart tried to bring the suspenders on jeans back in style earlier this year, but it didn’t really seem to take off. What do you think of this style, love it or hate it? We’ve seen a few girls such as Lilo, Rihanna and Ciara try to bring those short shirts back in style too **shudder**

La La Vasquez, former MTV VJ and the wife of NBA star Carmelo Anthony, was seen hanging out with her friend Ciara while filming her reality TV show ‘The Wedding Project’ in Los Angeles, California. La La was wearing the famous J Brand Houlihan Cargo Pants in Vintage Olive with what looks like a Current/Elliott studded denim vest and heels. Ciara in Joe’s Jeans Shorts

Ciara arrived at The Karate Kid Movie Premier at Village Theater in Westwood, California. She was wearing a tiny pair of white Joe’s Jeans shorts with a check shirt and a pair of lace up boots. I really love the shirt and shorts together, the neutral tones keep the outfit more smart than if she wore short shorts with a bright coloured tank etc. I can’t seem to find these shorts online as they are from a few seasons ago.
