Denim Review: Paige Premium Lou Lou Tulip Flared Jeans In Sardinia

This weeks review is on a very different pair of jeans to what I would normally wear, flared jeans! I chose the Paige Premium Lou Lou Tulip Petite jeans in Sardinia.

Baring in mind that I never ever wear flared jeans, I’m always in skinnies or straight leg jeans, these were such a suprise for me! I saw them on a few celebs and I thought how good they looked on them and how flattering. I figured, if I pair them with really high wedges then they would work a lot better for my figure. I have quite small legs so normally anything bigger than a straight leg swamps me and makes me look all out of proportion. But wearing high heels gives the illusion that my legs are a lot longer and I love the way they look!

I wanted to start by saying how much I actually love this wash! A lot of washes tend to look the same and they never have that depth to them or the detail that really makes them stand out. With this Sardinia wash, there is definitely a deep blue depth to it and it feels like the jeans have such a rich texture because of how strong the wash is. Those of you who are as picky about jean washes as I am will understand what I mean, it’s definitely the kind of wash that can make even the worst cut jeans look really good, bring them to life on their own all because of the wash. I think it’s so pretty! It’s dark but in a lot of lights it has a medium tone to it.

The fit of these jeans is just… Wow! They have the classic Paige Premium flattering fit which is perfectly fitted on the butt and the pockets are positioned so carefully to really enhance and shape the bum. They are very slim fitted all the way to the knees so it keeps them extremely feminine and then they flare out into a mini bell bottom. The hem opening is definitely big enough to cover your shoes to make you look like you have extra long legs. I do have quite large feet so I guess that’s why my shoes poke through a bit, haha! I would definitely recommend wearing these so they almost hit the ground, it’s a lot more figure enhacing this way. I chose the petite length because my legs are really not long at all, the petite runs at around 33.5″ where as the taller ladies can go for the regular length which runs at about 35.5″. The rise is also not too high and not too low and Paige always makes sure she eliminates that builders butt syndrome by making the back rise just a little higher.

Overall, I’m really glad I tried flared jeans. I find when clothes are worn right and you wear the right shoes and make only one piece the focal point of an outfit or just keep it all simple etc, you can make anything work. There is always a way around something and making it work for your shape and size. I’ve already worn these jeans out twice and I loved them! They have only stretched out a small bit so far so that’s great as well! I know I say it quite often, but I would honestly recommend these Lou Lou Tulip jeans to any of you who are looking for a flared jean but want to keep it as feminine and slim fitting as possible. These jeans tick both boxes! Like I said, they come in petite and regular lengths and they also come in quite a few washes! Make sure you check out the gallery below, I included lots of photos of me wearing them for you to see the fit. Buy these jeans at Paige Premium for $189.
