Well this is different….. Jesse McCartney is the new face for BONGO jeans brand’s fall 2008 advertising campaign. McCartney is the first male spokesperson to appear in Bongo’s campaign. Past Bongo spokeswomen have included Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Minnillo, Nicole Richie, Kristin Cavallari and Rachel Bilson. Do you think having a guy as the center of their campaign will help them sell more jeans?

Can we really call Tila Tequila a celeb? I mean, she started out on MySpace and made her way into men’s magazines and reality TV. But anyway, here she is, spotted at the LAX airport in a denim on denim look - which used to be a no-no in the fashion world, but I think she makes this work, despite needing to hem the jeans which appear to be folded over. The Fendi handbag is nice too. Who can I.D. those back pockets? I am stumped!

Guess Jeans wants a model like Amy Winehouse?

You’ve heard of heroin chic - now top denim company Guess has injected the Australian star of their latest campaign with the gritty rock n’ roll image made famous by hopeless drug addict Amy Winehouse. Apparently we can expect some Wino looks to be coming our way.

During the Wino-lookalike’s photoshoot, she was done up to mimic Amy. In my opinion, the heroin chic look is so over - and Amy is heroin chic. There’s a big difference between Avril Lavigne or Gwen Stefani’s rock & roll images and that of Amy Winehouse. Perhaps they picked the wrong muse. What do you think? Is it a great idea to mimic the “Crackie of Camden” rock n’ roll look or is it so over?

Katherine Heigl stepped out to see Coldplay on July 16th in a pair of J & Company Black Jeans. I haven’t seen many celebs in J & Company lately - is it still a brand you like to wear? The back pockets are a bit blingy for me personally but they look appropriate for a concert.

Speaking of celebs wearing their own lines, here is singer Avril Lavigne in her new line Abbey Dawn for Kohls. Kohl’s is definitely trying to appeal to their juniors audience with this line, and it actually looks like clothes that Avril would wear. And even though the jeans Avril has on are not designer denim per se, they are pretty cute - I like the zipper back pockets. Nice work Avril.
