Valentine’s Day is approaching fast and we all need something appropriate to wear for our dates out with a potential love interest, our current partners, or our friends, so in DenimBlog tradition, Jennifer, Jonathan and I have put together an outfit collage which we love for a Valentine’s look. There’s two ladies outfits here and one look for the guys. We hope you enjoy Sunday!
For my look, I wanted to do something feminine and girly, but still really stylish and in tune with the colour palette of Valentine’s Day. I went with a pair of lilac coloured skinny jeans instead of pink or red, but opted to go with grey in the form a ACNE wool sweater and a Warehouse sleeveless jacket to make it feel mature. To keep with the purple theme, I chose the Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB tote and then added some pink in with this MAC pink lipstick and this O.P.I pink nail polish. Now when it comes to shoes, I gave two options: Sergio Rossi boots for those who want it a bit more tough and sleek or Jimmy Choo glitter pumps if you want something more fancy and stand out. I finally finished it off with some pearl earrings and this gorgeous gold Philosophy pearl ring.
For my look, I wanted to take the hearts motif that is associated with Valentine’s Day as my inspiration. I chose a few seasons back from Burberry (which you can find an alternative here) to pair with a pair of the Paige Croft Skinny in Black Shadow. To help keep a smart feel going, I added a peacoat from Saint Laurent and the Hedi boots. As time is key during a Valentine’s date, to finish the look off I chose a watch by Nixon.
DenimBlog just got some exciting news from G-Star! Pharrell Williams has become a co-owner of G-Star RAW. Did you see that one coming? The creative man himself is set to be immersed in the company on many creative levels and I cannot wait to see what designs and inventive ideas they come up with together. Who else is excited about this collaboration? You can read a bit more below and you can shop the current G-Star collection online at their website.
This partnership comes after two years of collaboration between G-Star and Pharrell’s company Bionic Yarn on the RAW for the Oceans collection, transforming recycled ocean plastic into denim. During this collaboration it became apparent that we have a rare connection when it comes to design, and with our shared pursuit for constant innovation the decision to take our partnership even further was a no-brainer.
“G-Star is an independently minded and forward thinking company. I believe they will be the definitive jeans brand of the 21st century. I am looking forward to be part of that mission and to co-create G-Star’s future.” Pharrell

Alicia Keys took to the Levi’s The City Stage in San Francisco, California. The singer wore a pair of the Levi’s 721 High Rise Skinny in Black Sheep with a graffiti leather jacket and a statement necklace.
I really like that Alicia kept this look monochromatic. By choosing an all black color palette it really helped the jacket and the necklace work together harmoniously. What do you think of the idea of this look here? You can click here to purchase these jeans from the Levi’s website.
