90210′s AnnaLynne McCord wore Blank Studded Skinny jeans while riding the bull at the “Babes on the Bull” event. Wow! Do I see some dollar bills someone threw at her? Thank god she didn’t really dye her hair black… Anyway, I love the studs on the back of these jeans – and they are only $70!

Wow, was all I thought when I saw these photos… normally I love Grey Ant, but these Grey Ant Carpenter jeans don’t work on Jessica Simpson. They really do not flatter her figure at all … now I know she is tiny, but I think you need to be about 5’10 to wear these and about a size 2. She should really stick to low rise, she looks great in her William Rast jeans.

Not to be outdone by Current/Elliott and Prps, who seem to the originators of bringing back the boyfriend jean, now a host of other brands have released a boyfriend cut. Which of the boyfriend jeans do you like best, and do you own a pair?

Have you heard of Restoration of the Monarchy? No? Maybe? Sort of?
Well if you’re sticking to no, let me fill you in: Dubbed “ROM” by the powers that be, Restoration of the Monarchy was a much hyped but not so much actually *worn about* denim and t-shirt line headed up by furniture mogul and interior designer Eric Villency–a former model and socialite, who once dated beauty magnate Olivia Chantecaille, and is currently married to the Fox New Live Host Kimberly Guilfoyle (ex-wife of San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome…)
The line, which featured sexy short jumpers and adorable sailor pants, for whatever reason, just didn’t really pop. It was supposed to retail in places like Scoop and Intermix, and probably did for about 5 minutes, but I never personally never saw it there. I’m not exactly sure why ROM never panned out because, honestly, the whole thing was pretty vibey with a layed back ’70′s feel and Villency himself is loaded with great style and connections in the fashion community to boot. Check out the website at www.restorationofthemonarchy.com for the entire feeling of the brand including a fab ad campaign, and the gorgeous Julia Restoin-Roitfeld (daughter of French Vogue Editor Carine Roitfeld) working it as the collections model and face.
Recently, since we had not seen anything from ROM in about a year or more, we at DenimBlog requested an interview and update, asking Mr. Villency himself to comment on what was up next for the denim line–what we could expect to see in the seasons to come.
Unfortunately, though, the future for ROM is unclear. The team at ROM comments that, ” we are in a period of transition and Restoration of the Monarchy is in contract to be sold and will have new ownership soon.”
I guess furniture and denim don’t mix afterall…
