“We all see the pictures of Courteney Cox Arquette and Marcia Cross strutting their stuff in the hottest new denim and secretly we long for their jeans. Long no more – the jeans can be yours,” said Robert Verdi, style aficionado and Style Network star who has teamed up with Special K® as part of the charity auction and Special K Challenge promotion. “Not only will you have a slimmer figure, thanks to the Special K Challenge, and celebrity jeans, but you can feel great knowing that 100 percent of the proceeds from your celebrity jeans purchase are benefiting United Way.”
Special K® offers participants a chance to have their weight loss be someone else’s gain – after dropping a jean size they too can donate their old jeans to the United Way via specially marked Special K® cereal boxes that convert into convenient mailers. In return participants will receive the perfect fashion t-shirt in Special K® “red” to complement their new smaller jeans and fab figure. Losing weight and giving back, can it get any better? www.specialk.com
Now through September 12th, you can buy a pair of Courteney Cox‘s autographed William Rast jeans, or Eva Longoria‘s Kasil’s, and help United Way while you are at it! 100% of all purchases go to United Way!
Check out some photos of the new collection from Rock & Republic’s Spring 2009 Catwalk Show. Their Fall show was full of black and purple, this season’s collection seems to be all about black and white. What do we think of the acid washed jeans?

Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus wore J Brand Lovestory Jeans in Ink Wash while actress Salma Hayek wore the Lovestory in Miner Wash at the Stand Up to Cancer benefit in Hollywood, California last night. Great to see celebs doing something for a wonderful cause.
Speaking of a great cause, I am going to be participating as a Team Leader & Walker in my local Light the Night Walk with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in November. I know we don’t usually get very personal here on the blog about our writers, but I am a survivor of Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and I also have family and friends who’ve battled cancer. I was fortunate enough to beat the disease, but not everyone is and new treatments and cures are still desperately needed. Did you know:
If you would care to start your own team, please visit www.LightTheNight.org. Alternatively, I’d love it if you would like to donate and sponsor my walk – any amount helps – and you can do so at my Light the Night Walk Page. Thanks for taking a moment to read this not-totally-denim-related blog!
