Mathew Williamson was seen at the Mika album launch wearing Trousers London Five Jeans. I actually like these jeans, they look like trousers but they are actually denim which makes them great for dressing up and down! Here is a little more info on the brand from their press release:
Trousers London is a London-based premium men’s jeanswear label, launched in February 2008. With their sustainable foundations, Trousers London create an exclusive series of coveted designs in organic denim, moving away from disposable clothing trends towards a new tradition of collectible fashion.
Coming from the diverse fields of Architecture, Advertising, Business, Design and Social Media Marketing, the varied backgrounds of the team behind Trousers London have been fundamental in the development of the brand. Not following the conventional schools of fashion, the team bring their own individual methodology to the process of fashion design, marketing and promotion, which allows for a distinctive, balanced and original approach, reflecting the progressive nature of the brand. The aesthetics and 3D proportions of the designs are largely influenced by architectural design methods and the branding is a reflection of tradition and workmanship.
The main ambition of Trousers London is to maintain a specialism in high-quality, directional men’s denim, this focus on denim allows for the exploration of patterns, fits, materials and production in a greater depth and detail.
Trousers London believe that a sustainable outlook should be fundamental and not an afterthought when building a brand. However, “design” leads the way and they endeavour to boldly recreate a garment that has become a staple in society.
The range is crafted with patience and skill in small batches, in our Italian factory using organic premium denim. Each new jeans model is numbered in the order of its design. To ensure the exclusivity of the jeans, as well as carefully selecting materials and applying intricate details, every pair is given a unique ID number. Each model of jeans is limited edition.

While shopping with her band The Scene at American Eagle in Los Angeles, Selena Gomez showed off her perky backside in American Eagle’s Artist Jean. Back by popular demand, the best selling denim in the brand’s history now features body-enhancing updates, promising a flattering backside lift we’d otherwise need weeks of lunges to achieve. Thanks to the jeans super slimming cut and lifting technology, women can now get Selena’s toned look with jeans that don’t break the bank.
Speaking of Selena did anyone hear the song she was a part of along with Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers? It’s called Send It On and raises awareness for saving the planet. It’s actually a really nice song. Miley and Selena are both wearing denim in the video as well, Miley’s jeans are DL1961. A few of the Jonas Brothers have Nudie jeans on as well.
America’s classic designer, Ralph Lauren did not disappoint in the jeans department. The collection featured a mix of feminine florals and mens “farm wear” , including distressed boyfriend jeans, overalls, denim blazers and chambray newsboy caps!

DenimBlog: What inspiration goes into designing a Frankie B. jean?
Most of the time it starts with fabric. once I feel and see a new denim usually ideas start coming in right away. I’m often inspired by street fashion, travelling, music but most of all I would say that it comes from a consumers point of view as me being the consumer I’m always looking for what I want next in my closet.
DenimBlog: What is your latest collection about?
Our latest collection is called “Punk Goddess” and it’s inspired by Debbie Harry in the 80′s at CBGB’s
DenimBlog: Why did you decide to create your brand?
I started Frankie B. because I thought there might be other women out there that would like to wear my jeans. I love fashion and I wanted to work at something that I enjoy doing and have a passion for.
DenimBlog: What has been your favourite memory/experience since Frankie B. was founded?
I would say my most memorable moments are our fashion shows. getting to project my entire vision is very stressful but also so satisfying.
DenimBlog: Do you have a favourite cut you have designed?
My favorite cut to this day is our basic 5 pocket low rise boot cut. So flattering and comfortable.
DenimBlog: How many jeans do you own?
Not enough but probably a couple hundred.
DenimBlog: Which jean has been the most popular overall?
Our classic low rise signature ‘F’ pocket boot cut is still our number one seller. Our most popular fun jean is hands down our heart pockets.
DenimBlog: We all love denim, but what is it that makes denim so important to you?
To me denim is a staple in my wardrobe. I feel that as long as I have a great fitting jean that I feel comfy and sexy in, I throw on a cute tee shirt and some platforms and I’m good to go. I always feel more confident in jeans than any other item in my wardrobe.
DenimBlog: Are there any new trends coming out next season that we should be keeping an eye out for?
You will see skinny cropped styles in interesting washes paired with our light weight denim boyfriend blazer for Spring Summer 2010. So Dixie’s Midnight runners!!!
DenimBlog: The boyfriend jeans trend has been a huge hit this season, will we be seeing anymore of this trend from you?
We actually did a new twist on the boyfriend and included a boyfriend trouser as well as a boyfriend blazer. Super cute!
DenimBlog: What makes your brand so different from the others out there?
I think what sets us apart is we are not your basic denim we are known as the going out jean. the fun jean! Our fit is amazingly sexy but also tasteful and comfortable.
DenimBlog: What are your denim predictions for next season?
We are still seeing a lot of requests for skinny’s and leggings with some vintage details.
DenimBlog: What is the best feature of a Frankie B. jean? (cut, fit, wash etc)
Frankie B. is known for our fit!
DenimBlog: I know Frankie B. was named after your daughter Frankie but what does the B stand for in Frankie B.?
My dad passed away before my daughter Frankie was born and his name was Barry. So I gave her only his first initial so that people would always ask what it was for and that would give us the opportunity to keep his memory alive.
