Carolyn M. Jones formed the clothing company PrivacyWear with a mission — to find a cure for breast cancer, the disease that took her mother’s life. Since launching the company, PrivacyWear has been instrumental in donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to breast cancer research and organizations such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Year-round, PrivacyWear and PRVCY Premium donate up to 10% of their profits toward breast cancer research.
This month, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, PRVCY Denim has released a special demin, the Jean Marie Breast Cancer Denim/London Skinny, for which 25% of the proceeds go directly to breast cancer organizations. The special jean is available at Bloomingdales for $194.
Rock & Republic returned to Paris to host their now signature event at the historic Hôtel de Crillon on Tuesday October 6th. The event featured their Spring 2010 collection. There was also a party mood with DJ’s Jen Brill and Derek Blasberg. The event, hosted by Rock & Republic’s President Andrea Bernholtz also debuted a film of the Spring 2010 collection by fashion photographer Paola Kudacki. Rock & Republic’s Creative Director Michael Ball’s inspiration for the collection and film, comes from Nabakov’s Lolita and its themes of sweet naïveté, sexual innocence and restraint.
