Models Adriana Lima and Karolina Kurkova unveil the new Biofit Uplift Bra at the Victoria’s Secret Store on March 4, 2008 in Los Angeles, California. Ms. Lima is wearing a pair of J Brand’s Love Story jeans in Bayou wash. We’ve yet to I.D. Ms. Kurkova’s jeans – anyone know what they are? The J Brand jeans Adriana is wearing have been all over celebs lately – adding that to the must buy list! And by the way, wouldn’t it have been more effective to actually WEAR the bras in an unveiling photo shoot? Just a thought. As it is now, we have no idea how this bra even looks on!
To dry clean or not to dry clean: that is the question. Many denim aficionados swear by dry cleaning their designer denim, while some prefer the cold wash and hang to dry method, and still others don’t wash their jeans for months at a time. Some Rock & Republic jeans have “Dry Clean Only” labels inside. I am guilty of just throwing mine in the washer and (shock!) dryer sometimes. In fact, I’ve been told that many dry cleaners will simply wash denim in a washing machine rather than actually dry clean them. What do you do?
Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, was spotted at the park in Beverly Hills with her kids in a pair of yellow DVB jeans. Now if you told me Posh was spotted in a pair of yellow jeans, I’d say no way, but here she is, and somehow she pulls it off! STILL wish she’d smile once in awhile, even though she appears to be having fun here with her kids. Is that DVB tote bag we spy in the shot on the table? Cute!
From British Vogue:
You may remember her from the stratospherically sexy, annual Victoria’s Secret show, but now Danish supermodel May Anderson is turning her hand from catwalk to cutting shears and designing her own range of jeans.
Chick with Guns is a range of black, grey and dark blue jeans, embellished on the butt with gold thread and cropped at the ankle. The best cut, the “Mayday”, is spray-on skinny and reminiscent of those jeans worn by cool rock-groupies in the Seventies.
Anderson founded the company with two old friends from Copenhagen, designer Gabriel Nigro and graphic artist Jesper Skade.
“I loved getting involved in the design process. I wear these jeans all the time – and so do lots of my guy friends!” says Anderson.
“The brand stands for quality in tailoring and fabric, and therefore only cooperates with the top manufacturers in Italy. This guarantees a perfect fit that brings out the sex appeal and chic-ness in a girl,” adds co-designer Skade.
Can’t wait to see these when they are released! Love the name!
