Gavin Rossdale was spotted in Lakewood, California with his family to visit some friends. Gavin was wearing a pair of jeans from his favorite brand, AG Jeans. He chose The Matchbox in Overdye Black. I’m surprised to see that Gavin still manages to find very similar fits in all the brands that he has been spotted in.
I love faded black denim. It is just one of those washes, that I find, to be very versatile and able to wear year-round. Of course, AG has created another great wash with these jeans. You can click here to purchase these jeans at AGJeans for $225.

New to DenimBlog brand, Russh Mode Denim, really caught my eye. The first pair that made me pay attention to the brand was the pair below with the studs all over the pockets. I thought they were really edgy and reminded me a lot of a pair of Current/Elliott jeans. We caught up with the brand to ask them a few more questions about their styles, their inspirations and more! One of the best things about this brand is it’s great for curvy girls! They stock their jeans from sizes 25 all the way up to 38! Most premium brands draw the line at 32 so this is good news! Carry on reading for the interview.
DB: What inspiration goes into designing a pair of your jeans?
RM: What inspires me most is that we have the opportunity to create the perfect jeans for our customer’s to fall in love with, that will serve as a wardrobe staple, justifying the money they spend.
DB: What is your collection about?
RM: Mixing sophisticated styling with a luxury feel, Russh Mode premium denim is a wardrobe staple for every woman. With an emphasis on superior fit and quality, Russh Mode styles combine the latest trends with timeless design. The result is the perfect pair of jeans that will stay at the front of your closet for years to come.
DB: Why did you decide to create your brand?
RM: To offer an alternative in the premium denim market for the customer who is more curvy and could be anywhere from a size 25 to 38.
DB: Do you have a favorite cut you have designed?
RM: The “Sophisticate”, it’s one of our mid-rise bootleg styles and is a very smart buy regardless to whatever is trending.
DB: How many jeans do you own yourself?
RM: I will just say enough where I will certainly be giving some of them away!
DB: Which jean has been the most popular overall?
RM: The “Sophisticate” and the “Bombshell” run neck and neck, the “Sophisticate” is a mid-rise bootleg and the “Bombshell” is a mid-rise slim leg.
DB: We all love denim, but what makes it so important to you.
RM: It’s versatility!
DB: What makes your brand so different from the others out there?
RM: Russh Mode is the first premium denim collection to offer a curved back pocket shape for superior fit and contouring. In addition the jeans subtly emphasize a woman’s curves with shaped stitching on the back pockets.
DB: What is the best feature of your jeans?
RM: The fit! We do our best putting a lot of time and effort into making sure the fit is good.
DB: How did you come up with the name Russh Mode Denim?
RM: I came up with the name Russh Mode, a play on the phrase “rush mode”, because our customer has a very busy lifestyle and is always on the go.
Here is the second part of the Mardou & Dean Spring/Summer 2011 Look Book! This is the men’s collection and they have some great washes! I’m assuming the men’s jeans fit the same as the women’s when it comes to flattering fits and I’m glad they keep their trademark of the diagonal button fly.
The new collection is full of faded colours and aspires to a sun bleached look. Suspenders, open knee and paint stains are some of the trademarks of the new styles. For the first time, non-denim cotton takes part in the collection and adds to the urban traveller look as well. Have you tried the brand yet?
