Ahh… tattered denim. It is a true staple for the warmer weathers and on the runways of D&G. Designers Dominico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana gave us looks to coincide with their Dolce and Gabbana collection. The looks of this collection are very “preppy in the park” like a disheveled Chuck Bass almost. Along with the tattered denim, models were also sent down the runway in patchwork denim and a pair of denim shorts. You can check out the denim looks below.
There is a new denim brand that’s about to hit the market this fall, Stone Blue Jeans! The makers of Stone Blue have spent the last 12 years perfecting and developing innovative denim wash methods and have now created their own line featuring a range of perfectly executed, updated classics, as well as their trademark innovative, ultra-premium, vintage-inspired washes with natural three dimensional whiskering.
Each piece in the Stone Blue 2010 Edition 01 collection starts with thoughtful proportions designed to lengthen and slim the silhouette. Stone Blue then cross-fits the jeans on dozens of different bodies, making infinitesimal adjustments until everything is perfect. It’s a painstaking process that has won “best fit” awards from major magazines and garnered plaudits on national television.
Additionally, Stone Blue’s organic pocket design is driven by an awareness of the finished jean as a unified whole. The distinctive lines and folds on the pockets naturally adopt the unique character of each wash, highlighting and enhancing the integrity of the overall design.
You can take a look at their collection of jeans in the gallery below. What do you think of the brand?
Another trend that denim brands seem to be getting into is Repaired Jeans. These are a great alternative to the patchwork jeans. If you are looking for a new settle detail, this is a trend you may want to try. They have stitching detail over the distressed areas of the jeans to give a look as though a hole was stitched closed. Many celebrities have been spotted in this trend such as Samantha Ronson in her Dior Homme, Miley Cyrus in JET, Carrie Underwood in AG and the one that started the look Victoria Beckham in her namesake. You can check out some of these styles named below and more.
Lindsay Lohan wore a pair of Citizens of Humanity Morrison Slim Leg jeans in Odyssey while shopping at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills, California. I really like how these jeans fit her, she looks great! I heard that Lindsay will be posing nude in promotion of her line of handbags next month but they are unsure if she will be able to remove her SCRAM bracelet… Lindsay always baffles me. It’s like there is one issue after the next with this girl and her whole life has become a mess, I really hope she can turn everything around because she used to be great and I’ve always liked her style. Lindsay was seen in these jeans before as well.
