Kim Kardashian was spotted arriving back in Los Angeles, California over the weekend. She was wearing an outfit that I actually quite like. Though the boots are a bit much, I think, for day wear. She was wearing a pair of JET Hippie Faded jeans with some Burberry boots. I think maybe the Fiorentini + Baker boots would have been a more practical choice for this look.
I usually find that Kim always looks too put together everyday, but here she doesn’t. Her hair is a bit messy and it looks like she did just throw this look together. Nothing looks too placed or too styled. She just looks comfortable. You can click here to purchase JET Jeans at Singer22.
Leaving LA hot spot, BOA Steakhouse, Hayden Panettiere looked to be in a good mood. Hayden has a couple of upcoming projects, Scream 4 and The Amanda Knox Story. The Amanda Knox Story has received scrutiny from both the victim’s family as well as Amanda’s Family. I’m honestly surprised that the movie is being made so shortly after the incident, especially considering that Amanda’s trial is on appeal. Are you considering watching the film?
I think that Hayden looks surprisingly chic here! A few months ago, she cut her hair very short and I like the way it’s growing out. I think it complements her outfit really well. She paired a simple white tee and leather jacket with her J Brand skinny jeans and pumps. You can buy J Brand jeans at Singer22.com.
Winter Blues is a brand of jeans that I came across a couple of months ago. The idea behind the brand is they create jeans which are absolutely perfect for the freezing cold months because they have fleece in the lining. The fleece is designed to keep your legs warm and block out the wind. I know I get freezing sometimes when I am just wearing normal thinner denim jeans and there is snow outside.
The concern I had with these jeans is that they would make my legs look too big or bulky due to the lining, when I tried these jeans I did find this happened a bit but that was because the jeans were actually too big on me. If you buy a pair that fit you really tightly then they are very slim fitting as you can see from the photos. When the jeans are worn, the fleece and the denim stretch out which makes them look thinner anyway.
The denim that Samantha (the owner and creator) is currently using is from the Candiani mill (Italian) and made up of 98% cotton and 2% lycra. It’s a 10oz fabric as well. I asked Samantha about the jeans and she said “It’s definitely a different “feel” to have them on with the soft fleece against your skin but they don’t make you look bigger”. The jeans are currently manufactured in a factory in Los Angeles, where they are also Laundered.
The jeans are definitely very warm, when I put them on I definitely felt that they would keep you really snug. They will be perfect for the snow weather and freezing cold evenings during the middle of Winter. Samantha is also working on a Spring/Summer line called WB which will have no lining. You can buy these jeans online at Winter Blues.
Doctrine Denim just finished shooting their Fall 2011 Look Book which you can see here. They are quite ahead as we are still sharing a lot of the Spring/Summer looks for 2011 but this is a great Look Book with wonderful styles.
Doctrine just launched in Hollywood with the event at Boudoir and it has now added women’s into their Fall 2011 collections. The Designer, Teresa Sung, wanted to launch the women’s line and stick with clean and simple silhouettes. There is a moto jegging which they previewed at trade shows in addition to straight legs, skinnies, trouser-style jeans and a twill. The men’s line is doing really well and has been one of the top selling lines at Saks in Beverly Hills so far. So what do you think of the new collection?
