Although rumors of bankruptcy have surrounded American Apparel, the brand recently launched their new denim line on April 5th. The collection, which has been in the making for the past year, features two styles for women and one for men. For women, there will be both a high waist, tapered leg jean and short. Men can expect to find a heavyweight, untreated jean. American Apparel recruited denim veteran, Georges Atlan, who has worked for brands like Guess, Levi’s, Rock and Republic and Joe’s jeans.
The vein of the line will be in the same as the basic tees and tanks, Dov Charney, the line’s founder said in a press release, “Jeans are an iconic, essential part of the modern wardrobe, just like the t-shirt. No one does basics like American Apparel. We’ve mastered the basic t-shirt, now we’re getting excited about jeans.”
The jeans which are in stores now will retail for $80 a pair and were each made using 40 fair-wage workers. You can preview the collection below and shop online at AmericanApparel.com.
After spending the week promoting her latest film, Arthur, Jennifer Garner spends some time catching up with her daughters. Although the film didn’t get very stellar reviews, Arthur ranked second in the box office this weekend, after Hop. Jennifer is also working on The Odd Life of Timothy Green.
It looks like she switched back to Mom mode, Jennifer wore her Juicy Couture jeans, a gray sweater and a pair of sneakers. While these jeans aren’t my favorite on her, I do love both her handbag and her sunglasses.

I have actually been waiting to spot Ellen Pompeo in a pair of jeans by Textile Elizabeth and James. For some reason I always knew that she would get a pair. I do find them to suit her style very well. Also, I think it is about time she gave her Black Orchid jeans a day off.
She was spotted taking daughter Stella to visit the petting zoo in Studio City, California. She wore a pair of the Textile Jimi Jeans in Glory Days. What I love about Textile jeans is that they don’t stretch out around the waist. Even after wearing them for a few days straight they still stay up when I wear them. You can click here to purchase these jeans at Net-A-Porter for $195.
