Janet Jackson performs for her Number Ones Up Close and Personal tour in Phoenix, Arizona. Janet will also be making history this summer, when she performs at the Lourve in Paris. She’ll be performing for the fund raising event “Liaisons au Louvre” on June 14th. In the meantime, Janet is keeping busy with both her hits tour and book tour.
For her performance, Janet wore a pair of black Levi’s Bold Curve ID skinny jeans, a simple white tank top and studded black boots. Janet has worn these jeans quite a few times before, both for performances and casually. You can buy these at Levi’s.com.

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise held hands as they headed into New York’s Magnolia Bakery. It’s rare that we see both Tom and Katie out together and I feel like it’s even rarer that they’re holding hands! The pair have been busy not only promoting their films and Katie’s miniseries, The Kennedy’s, but also preparing for Suri’s 5th birthday party. Katie shared what they have planned for the day, “Suri wants a pi├▒ata and [for] her girlfriends to come over. There will be swimming, and we’re going to make a cake together. This is my favorite day of the year, We’re going to have a tea party, and we’re going to girl it up.”
Katie wore her Current/Elliott The Skinny Jean in Loved, which she’s worn a few times before. Tom opted for his go-to brand of Ralph Lauren. You can buy Katie’s jeans from Shopbop and Tom’s at RalphLauren.com.

Riley Keough has been named the new face of Lee jeans. Not familiar with Riley? She’s Elvis Presley’s granddaughter!
Appropriately so, she is appearing in the current Rock and Roll inspired campaign for Lee jeans, called “A Lee Don’t Lie.” To lend to the Rock and Roll vibe, the campaign was shot by famed photographer, Terry Richardson. The ads are currently in print in the United States and will also be appearing in Europe, Africa and the Middle East until September.
On April 9th, Chicago residents took part in the 3rd annual “Double Denim” bar crawl. The crawl took place at various local bars and invited the patrons to dress up in their best double denim ensembles. The patrons donned their denim and traveled from bar to bar, enjoying drink specials, while mingling with other denim-clad bar goers.
I’ve never heard of such an event, but it sounds quite similar to an “Ugly Christmas Sweater” party. Has anyone ever been to a denim themed party or event? Or did anyone attend the Chicago event?
