Here is a little backtracking back to the Proenza Schouler Spring 2012 show at New York Fashion Week. They did a 180 this season from the previous and showed looks that were all form fitting. More feminine shapes than the slouchiness of the past show. The shirts were slimmer and the skirts were fuller.
It seems like Hanne Gaby Odiele (above) had the best pieces this season. In all the shows that she walked her looks were amazing. The Proenza one wasn’t an exception either. I am in love with that shirt. It is seriously one of the best pieces I have seen all season. You can click through some of the looks below.
It looks like Jessica Alba has been hitting the gym hard to get back in her pre-pregnancy jeans. We’ve seen a lot of photos of her heading to the gym but it looks like she traded her gym clothes for a pair of J Brand’s Love Story Jeans in Pure wash.
Most of my jeans are either skinnies or straight-leg, by far, but my favorite pair is probably my Love Story’s. They are so flattering and look great dressed up or down, plus the inseam is the perfect length to wear with heels! I have them in Ink wash, which is no longer available, but you can view the washes (I think the dynamite wash will be my next purchase!) and purchase Jessica’s jeans here.
When I saw the new Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 Collection, the first thing I thought was “If Edie Sedgwick was still with us she would own this entire collection.” It just oozes a modern Edie to me with all the shift dresses, the Chanel-esque jackets, the fringe, feathers, and metallics.
This collection would have to be one of my favorites that Marc has designed. So easy and so fun, something that seems to be a trend this season for fashion week. That and sweaters, many shows are showing some great sweaters this season and I am just loving it. You can click the images below to see some of the looks.
Sass & Bide held their runway show at The Royal Opera House a couple of days ago in London, England during London Fashion Week. Again, so many metallics and bright colours were featured, I love the styles that everyone is going for next season! They also had a lot of spots, stripes and asymmetrical colour blocking going on. I think the way some of these pieces are put together looks really good, especially the diagonal block dresses, skirts and tops! You can see the images in the gallery below.
