Chip & Pepper team up with JcPenney

c7p

This is news from earlier this year, but we just found out about it and didn’t know - so we thought maybe our readers hadn’t heard the news yet either!  JcPenney has recently teamed with denim designers Chip & Pepper to create a new line called C7P, a brand aimed at juniors and for a price tag far less than Chip & Pepper’s original denim line.  Priced at just $40-50 a pair!  Has anyone tried them yet?  And will this help or hurt the brand’s image overall by teaming with JcPenney?  Personally, their line looks a little to Abercrombie to us, and we are not crazy about the pocket designs either, but maybe the teenyboppers will like it.

This is going to potentially ruin an already struggling brand’s reputation. Unless, of course they are changing their target market.

I agree, anytime a former premium brand has gone into department stores like this, it kills the brand, which is unfortunate, because I do like a pair I have, and even was looking at some others.
