The Age of Fashion-Will this change Denim?

Giogio Armani

With several major designers now in their seventies – Karl Lagerfeld (Chanel/Fendi) is 76, Ralph Lauren is 70, Oscar de la Renta is 77, and Giorgio Armani is 75 and also plagued with ill-health – the speculation about when they might be hanging up and handing over their tape measures is never-ending.  I can’t help but wonder how this will change the face of fashion as new designers come in to take their place?  Even though they are not your typical denim designers, the full fashion designers do indirectly influence denim design.  The older designers still having talent and drive is obviously no issue, but I look forward to seeing how the fashion landscape may change with these designers’ possible retirements. How do you think it will change the world of fashion?
