Celebs in Denim: Salma Hayek & Julia Louis-Dreyfus in J Brand

Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus wore J Brand Lovestory Jeans in Ink Wash while actress Salma Hayek wore the Lovestory in Miner Wash at the Stand Up to Cancer benefit in Hollywood, California last night. Great to see celebs doing something for a wonderful cause.

Speaking of a great cause, I am going to be participating as a Team Leader & Walker in my local Light the Night Walk with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in November. I know we don’t usually get very personal here on the blog about our writers, but I am a survivor of Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and I also have family and friends who’ve battled cancer. I was fortunate enough to beat the disease, but not everyone is and new treatments and cures are still desperately needed. Did you know:

Every five minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer. Every 10 minutes, someone dies.

Leukemia causes more deaths among children than any other cancer.

Nearly 20,000 Americans died from lymphoma in 2007.

The survival rate for myeloma is just 34 percent.

My mom was just diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Thank you for helping to raise money!

Rachel, my father-in-law had Non-Hodgkins too, and he’s now almost 10 years in remission. Give her a hug for me and try to keep her attitude positive.
