Mary Kate Olsen
Here is the new Textile Elizabeth and James Spring 2012 collection modeled by Abbey Brothers. The looks were styled by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen themselves and feature hand-painted Supergas (they are creative-directors) to match the color scheme of the line perfectly.
This collection was so unexpected…in a good way. There are lots of prints that I never would have thought I would see from Textile. Then again I shouldn’t be too surprised. They did come out with neon and I never thought I would have seen those. Back to this collection now. The jeans had snake, floral, and tie-dye print. There were even some studded shorts. Those studded Ruby shorts along with the tie-dye Debs would have to be my favorite jeans.
The jeans weren’t the only great pieces. The slouchy tanks and sweaters also caught my eye, especially the tie-dye sweater that is paired with the Sunny Lime Ruby Shorts. These are just great clothes that I think many would love to wear during the weekend. You can check out the full collection below and click here to purchase some of the pieces at Shopbop now.
Ashley Olsen is back in her custom-made jeans by Maxfields. This time they are not the same state as they once were. The knees are really blown out. I wonder if she is cold. I have heard that it has been freezing in New York. I guess the long coat and scarf might help with warming her up. Ashley finished off her look with sunglasses and a The Row bag.
I wonder if we will be seeing Ashley or Mary-Kate wear some of the neon colors from their Textile line. I think they’ll look great in the Jimi in Aqua Glass. They don’t seem to have a severe allergy to color like Kate Moss and are more willing to try more stand-out pieces for everyday. You can click here to get the same style of these with their Smashton jeans from The Row for $270 at TheCorner.
Mary-Kate Olsen was caught on her way out of Madeo Restaurant in Beverly Hills, California. She wore a pair of The Row Occayne Leather Pants. These pants look amazing on her. I love that they are skin-tight and have an inseam zipper.
I think this looks great, probably one of Mary-Kate’s best. That jacket is really amazing. The brown and the black together work really well. I also like that we are seeing a smile (a rare sight from an Olsen). You can click here to purchase these pants at Net-A-Porter for $1990.

Mary-Kate Olsen was caught leaving Bar Pitti restaurant after grabbing a bite to eat in New York. She gave both her Earnest Sewn and Maxfields jeans a rest and chose a simple black pair of denim leggings. She chose to pair them with some flat ankle boots and a fur/crocodile jacket. I love that Mary-Kate just pushes the boundaries with her style. She doesn’t care what people are saying and just wears what she feels like.
Also take a look at her rings. How sick are those? I think accessories are just as important as the clothes. They can really make a look that more interesting and stand out. I can really appreciate a look when it is accessorized right. Detail is everything.
