Mary Kate Olsen
Mary-Kate Olsen made an appearance at the launch of their new collection for BikBok by Mary-Kate and Ashley launch in Olso, Norway. Both sisters showed their individual styles with pieces from the collection. While Ashley chose trousers, a shirt and scarf, Mary-Kate opted for a blazer, a sweater and jeans.
Looking through the collection, I noticed that there were some really great pieces that are in true Olsen fashion. If I could describe it, it embodies the masculine strength of The Row with a hint of femininity of Elizabeth and James. What do you guys think of this new venture? For you lucky Norwegians, you can click here to purchase these jeans from the BikBok website.
Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted catching a plane out at LAX a couple of weeks back. The designer wore her current favorite, the TEXTILE Elizabeth and James Johnny in Onyx, with a striped jacket and finished her look off with bags (backpack and tote) by The Row.
I am happy to see Mary-Kate in these jeans again because they fit her so well. They are the perfect length since they have a 27″ inseam and I like that she chose to wear hers more fitted than Ashley. They are also probably the easiest jeans to put on; just zip them up and snap the buttons closed. Who do you think wore it better? You can click here to purchase TEXTILE at Shopbop.
Mary-Kate Olsen posed with sister Ashley at the launch party for their new handbag line for Elizabeth and James, hosted by InStyle in Hollywood, California. The designer wore a pair of the Johnny Jeans in Onyx from her Textile Elizabeth and James line with a shirt from Elizabeth and James. Ashley was also decked out in Elizabeth and James, opting for a dress from the line. Both ladies chose to finish their looks off with bags from the new handbag line (see below).
It is great to see that both she and Ashley have these jeans. They have styles that are similar, yet completely different; so it’ll be interesting to see how she would style these compared to Ashley. From what I can see already, Mary-Kate prefers these more fitted to Ashley’s slouchy style. Who do you think wore them best and which bag is your favorite? I just love this shot of Mary-Kate Olsen as she was spotted heading back to her seat at the Knicks game in New York last month. The designer wore her custom-made jeans by Maxfield Los Angeles with a trench coat and sweater.
I think it is safe to say that Mary-Kate is most likely the “Queen” of distressed denim. I have never seen her wear a pair of jeans that has not ended up with a rip sooner or later in its life. Even when it comes to designing, distressing is always prominent in Mary-Kate’s Textile line. How many of you will always be fans of distressing?
