Mary Kate Olsen
Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted catching a plane out at LAX a couple of weeks back. The designer wore her current favorite, the TEXTILE Elizabeth and James Johnny in Onyx, with a striped jacket and finished her look off with bags (backpack and tote) by The Row.
I am happy to see Mary-Kate in these jeans again because they fit her so well. They are the perfect length since they have a 27″ inseam and I like that she chose to wear hers more fitted than Ashley. They are also probably the easiest jeans to put on; just zip them up and snap the buttons closed. Who do you think wore it better? You can click here to purchase TEXTILE at Shopbop.
Mary-Kate Olsen posed with sister Ashley at the launch party for their new handbag line for Elizabeth and James, hosted by InStyle in Hollywood, California. The designer wore a pair of the Johnny Jeans in Onyx from her Textile Elizabeth and James line with a shirt from Elizabeth and James. Ashley was also decked out in Elizabeth and James, opting for a dress from the line. Both ladies chose to finish their looks off with bags from the new handbag line (see below).
It is great to see that both she and Ashley have these jeans. They have styles that are similar, yet completely different; so it’ll be interesting to see how she would style these compared to Ashley. From what I can see already, Mary-Kate prefers these more fitted to Ashley’s slouchy style. Who do you think wore them best and which bag is your favorite? I just love this shot of Mary-Kate Olsen as she was spotted heading back to her seat at the Knicks game in New York last month. The designer wore her custom-made jeans by Maxfield Los Angeles with a trench coat and sweater.
I think it is safe to say that Mary-Kate is most likely the “Queen” of distressed denim. I have never seen her wear a pair of jeans that has not ended up with a rip sooner or later in its life. Even when it comes to designing, distressing is always prominent in Mary-Kate’s Textile line. How many of you will always be fans of distressing?
It looks like someone pulled out some old jeans from the back of the closet. Mary-Kate Olsen was caught out in her lovely custom-made jeans by Maxfield Los Angeles as she was leaving the office in New York. Aside from these jeans, I think Mary-Kate’s jacket is amazing. The cut and details of it are really cool.
I wonder if Mary-Kate or sister, Ashley, will be getting a new pair of these made again? Or if they’ll replicate them for Textile? I would love to see them do these for Textile as they are one of my favorite jeans of all time and I would be the first in line for them. But maybe with back pockets, as this particular pair doesn’t have any.
