Mary-Kate Olsen was wearing a pair of faded black Earnest Sewn jeans as she was caught leaving her friend’s house in Santa Monica, California. I miss when she and her sister would dress like this; skinny jeans, heels and a big bulky scarf. Now I think they tend to border “granny territory,” but I guess if you are comfortable that is all that matters. I do hope they turn back to their old style ways though.
Mary-Kate hasn’t been up to much lately when it comes to movies. Well, their many clothing lines are for sure keeping her busy, so I see why. She does have Beastly coming out with Vanessa Hudgens. Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted getting her nails done in West Hollywood, California. They must be in town for the holidays, so this is for sure a rare sighting. Mary-Kate chose to wear one of her many custom-tailored pairs of Earnest Sewn. This time she opted for a charcoal washed pair. I am always fond of she and her sister’s California style. They seem more laid-back, relaxed and tend to wear more fitted clothing here.
I read something a few years back that of course she and Ashley share clothes, but one or the other usually buys a specific thing. Like Mary-Kate would lean over to purchasing denim more than Ashley, then Ashley would just take them. So I wonder if they grew out of that and just got multiple pairs so they can each have a pair? Ashley Olsen was spotted leaving Nobu in Tribeca, New York after having a date with boyfriend Justin Bartha. She was wearing an amazing pair of custom-made jeans that were made for her a few years back by Maxfields Boutique in Los Angeles, California. They are the same jeans she wore on the Denim Issue of Nylon Magazine back in 2006 (how appropriate).
I have been waiting to blog about these jeans. They are absolutely one of my favorites that I have ever seen on any celebrity since the skinny jeans craze took off and still are. I just love everything about them from the zippers to the trouser-style pockets and even the white stitching. They are truly unique. I can’t wait till she and/or Mary-Kate get spotted in these again because they have both been spotted in them quite a few times before.

Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted outside her apartment in New York. She was wearing her perfectly fitting pair of Earnest Sewn. These jeans look to have been worn out a bit. I think this is the first time I have ever seen Mary-Kate not in a pair of distressed jeans for this long. She usually gets a new pair and rips them up after a couple weeks. It is nice to see her in a great clean dark blue pair.
Though these were custom fitted for just her. Earnest Sewn has come out with this wash in a their Harlan fit. You can buy them at RevolveClothing for $178.
