Mary Kate Olsen
Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen posed for a photo during the photoshoot of their new business venture, StyleMint. Ashley wore a pair of Levi’s 501 Cut Off shorts and Mary-Kate wore a pair of Wrangler Cutt Off shorts. I think I like the Levi’s the most but these twins always seem to look good! How many of you are going to shop on their new site?

Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted leaving Locanda Verde in New York after having some lunch. I have always wanted to try that restaurant. The menu just sounds amazing. She wore her favorite jeans, her custom made pair from Maxfields LA. She has really worn these out. Looks like she has blown the other side of them. I wonder if she or Ashley will be getting another pair of these made.
I love this look from head-to-toe! The sweater is amazing. I love the color blocking on it and the colors of the blocking. The pink, heathered green, and blue just look amazing with the faded black wash of the jeans. I also love that she is wearing TOMs. I wonder why she is not sporting The Row x TOMs collaborated pair though. Overall, great look!
Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted in New York after having some lunch. She sported a striped jacket with a white button-up with her custom-made jeans by Maxfields LA. She finished off her look with a bag from her new handbag line for The Row. I do like this outfit. I like all the colors and prints together, even the shoes. The prints are amazing on those. I do just wish the jacket was a bit smaller, or unbuttoned. It looks unintentionally oversized in my opinion.
I think this would be an even more amazing out without the jacket. The shirt underneath looks amazing with the jeans. I’m seriously going through a white button-up/henley phase right now. I love the look of a white button-up, even more than a white tee. They are just one of the most versatile pieces, I find. It can be worn casually rolled up on the sleeves, not buttoned all the way or clean and professional.
Here is a look at the first ever Textile Elizabeth and James look book. For their Fall/Winter ’11 collection, the inspiration came from the California desert, namely a 1969 journey to Joshua Tree, California. Though with a vintage inspiration, the fits are still of this decade.
Featured in this collection are shirts, skirts, sweaters, denim and some outerwear. They have their popular Jimi flare in a black wash (believe it or not, this is their first season to include black denim) and a patch style. They also have have the Debbie jeans in a faded black with patches all over.
My favorite pieces from this collection would have to be the red long johns, the Dakota sweater, and the Crosby Jeans (shown above with the Dakota sweater). I fell for these jeans back when I saw them on Mary-Kate at their launch party in New York. I just love the carpenter style, plus they have ankle-zippers. You can never go wrong with that.
