I do like the new Spring 2012 Dsquared² collection, but I just find the styling of the show to be too wearable to be a fashion show in Milan. The inspiration of course was the music festivals. I can see Glastonbury, Coachella, and a bit of Burning Man. The styling, two celebrities come to mind, Vanessa Hudgens and Kate Moss. The mud would go to Kate Moss/Glastonbury, while the more boho hipster look is more Vanessa.
I do like the vibe of the show, it is very much me. I just expected a bit more from Dsquared². This is what they do best though, wearable easy clothes. You can click through some of the looks from the collection below.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was caught at Heathrow Airport in London, England. She wore a pair of Burberry Leather leggings with a Burberry jacket and shirt. Rosie just looks absolutely amazing each time I see her. Crazy enough to say…I think she has become my new favorite British model when it comes to her style. Only due to the fact that Rosie has a bit more life in her candid outfits than The Great Kate (at present time).
I wonder if we will be seeing Rosie walk in any of the shows this season. I would like her to do the Paris shows. I think she would do amazing at the Balmain, Marant, Gaultier and Dior shows. She has that edgy sultriness that works for all those shows. I think she is a lot more versatile than the fashion business thinks. Click here to purchase these leggings at Burberry for $1695.

Kate Moss was caught leaving a friend’s party with husband Jamie Hince in London. She went back to her staple jeans, a pair of Siwy Hannah jeans in It’s Magic. I actually have a pair of Siwy jeans and I can see why they are loved by so many. They do actually fit quite well.
I would like to see Kate in some distressed jeans. We have seen her in so much black and gray for the past few years, I think it would look fresh for her to wear a light blue wash. Maybe she’ll pull out her Siwy Hannahs in Kiss that had the knees blown out. Those were a great pair. The wash was one of the best light blues I have seen. You can click here to purchase Siwy jeans at Singer22.
Ohh…I miss writing about Kate Moss. I’m happy to hear that she made an appearance somewhere and in denim. She wore a double denim look by Mulberry while attending their Spring 2012 show at London Fashion Week. This is one of the rare times where double denim in the same shade actually works. I think if you are going to attempt the double denim look in the same shade, everything has to fit. I think that is what made this one work.
I also like how Kate accessorized this look as well. I think the gold necklaces, belt, and hat really pulled the look together. I think they also played a huge part in this outfit. Without them, I think it would have looked off. What do you think of this look? Would any of you readers attempt wearing the same shades in your double denim outfits?
