Balmain Pre-Fall 2012
I now see what Olivier Rousteing is talking about when he said he was taking Balmain back to its couture days. The clothing now looks in harmony with the price range. I do miss all the rips, tears and endless amounts of denim, but couture is the soul of the brand so that is where it should be.
The 2012 Pre-Fall collection had tons of prints, color and of course the classic glitz. There was also no shortage of leather. I think the collection is really great. There are quite a few pieces that I find amazing. The leather pants above are just everything. Trouser pockets, check. Leather, check. Inseam-zipper and motorcycle stitching, double check. My other favorites would have to be the printed pajama pants, all the jackets, and the black long-sleeve dress. I love the graphic at the waist. I would love to see that dress on Zoe Saldana or Kate Bosworth. You can see the full collection below.
Kate Bosworth in Joe’s Jeans
I am so jealous right now. I would love to be in the snow. I mean it is chilly here in California, but it does not beat having actual snow outside to play in.
Kate Bosworth was spotted out and about in Park City, Utah at the Sundance Film Festival. She wore a pair of Joe’s Skinny Provocateur Jeans in Ophelia with an Isabel Marant sweater, a parka and some buckle boots. I think this is a great look and the jeans suit her really well. I wonder if Kate is doing some research for her own denim line? I hope the rumors are true, I would like to see her wear a variety of brands. I think she would look great in the Textile Crosby jeans. Kate Bosworth & Cher Coulter to Design Denim
News is flying around the fashion world that Kate Bosworth, along with her stylist and Jewelmint partner Cher Coulter, will be launching their own denim line. I think this will be a great venture for both. With Kate being a style icon and Cher being one of the biggest names in the styling world, I am pretty sure the styles will be nothing less than great.
With the news being early on, there is no confirmation on whether it is a brand venture or another branch under the Beachmint franchise. If it is a Beachmint branch, my name will be first on that sign-up list. Are you excited to see what they come out with and will you sign up for a monthly membership of denim?

Kate Bosworth donned The Perfect Shirt in Blue by Current/Elliott for a promo shot for Jewelmint. I still love the denim shirt. Probably my favorite trend that popped back up in the past decade. I am currently in search for a dark washed one. Something different from my usual light washed one.
