I am such a fan of a high rise skinny at the moment and when the proportions of them are right, like the Sophie in Luxe by A GOLD E, I could not be more elated. These are the perfect pair to style a look that is casual yet chic like this look here.
I chose a heavy knit sweater by Rag & Bone to pair with the jeans. One thing I love about this season is all the heavy knit sweaters. They can take the simplest pair of jeans to feeling a bit Parisian chic. For shoes, I wanted something classic, like these navy suede Vans. They add just enough color to the look, in my opinion. For finishers, a hat by Etudes and one of my favorite backpacks to hit the market by Elizabeth and James. The backpack definitely elevates the look to something cooler. How many of you are pairing your knits with jeans right now?
For my weekend look, I wanted to style something a bit grungier than what I normally do. I chose these R13 relaxed skinny jeans because I love the shreds and the more slouchy skinny fit. For a top, I chose this oversize plaid boyfriend shirt from Band of Outsiders. The boyfriend fit would look nice loosely tucked into the jeans. I like the toughness of these Diesel combat boots and the ankle straps. For accessories, I chose this Rag & Bone fedora for a bit of color and this dark, vampy lip color from Smashbox. Lastly, I finished with a bit of a feminine touch, with these pearl studs from Kate Spade.
I wanted to do a borrowed from the boy look for my ‘Weekend Look.’ I chose the J Brand Jake Boy-Fit in Gothic because they are a slimmer boyfriend, but they still have a unisex fit to them that I find really cool when worn low slung on the hips. The distressing on them is also something that I am a fan of because of the ease that it adds.
I chose to go for a look that will definitely beat the chill. I chose to pair them with a jacket by Acne Studios that is lined with shearling to wear over a t shirt by Rodarte. Then to add more to that winter feel, a beanie by Norse Projects. As everything is either oversized or slouchy, I thought a lean pair of Stan Smith sneakers by Adidas would help smarten up the whole feel. I also think the way these jeans look without the cuff and stacked over a classic pair of shoes like these, is a look that I favor. How many of you are going to beat the chill with a look like this?
For my weekend going out look, I was sort of inspired by the popular way of wearing double denim during the Fall: with coats and sweaters. I chose these classic Frame Denim Le Skinny de Jeanne and paired them with an Only Denim Shirt. I then layered on this amazing Burberry Prorsum Sweater and finished it with this MSGM Wool Coat. I think double denim and camel/beige tones is a perfect combination! For the footwear, I chose these Chelsea Crew Boots as they have a great Fall look about them, then finished the accessories with this Monsoon Satchel. This is definitely something I would wear!
