When I saw this J. Crew chambray tunic, I knew I wanted to style an outfit around it. I love the detail of the embroidery and think it is a really versatile piece that can be worn over a swimsuit or dressed up for night. I styled a look that I think can work for day or night.
I chose these Tory Burch leather shorts because I love that they look striped, but are actually snakeskin print, which I think adds a bit of edge. For shoes, I chose these chunky heeled fringe sandals from Tod’s because the chunkier heel dresses down the look and the fringe adds some texture. For accessories, I chose these cat eye sunglasses from Kamali Kulture and I thought this Furla Candy bag added a playful touch.
Denim is easy; it goes with anything and can be dressed up or down pretty much taking you from day to night or from party to party. Sometimes the “dressing it up” part can be difficult because it isn’t always just slapping on a pair of heels. Here are three ways to dress up your denim for those fun Summer parties.
I have been in a moccasins type of mood as of late and thought they would make a great pairing with my other obsession at the moment, grey denim. I chose the WILDFOX Marianne Jeans in Pebbles as my jean of choice as the color is just amazing and perfect. It does not feel dull and pairs with any earth tone/neutrals perfectly.
As I said above, I am just besotted with moccasins lately. I chose these from Isabel Marant for their authentic feel and great detailing. I then kept everything else simple, choosing a t shirt by IRO and shirt from Isabel’s Etoile line. Then to finish the whole look off, a beanie by Grevi. I cannot do casual without a beanie, no matter the season. What are your plans for this weekend?
For my weekend going out look, I wanted to style something light weight and summer appropriate as the sun has been shining over here in England, at last! I wanted to go for a white jean, so I opted for the Frame Denim Le Color Mid Rise Skinny Jeans in Blanc. I think these are a perfect basic white jean, with a great fit! To add some femininity, I went with a Pink Sleeveless Floral Blouse as this really screams summer to me! I then chose some Brian Atwood Brown Sema Wedges to give some height and a casual element.
Now for the accessories, as I already had quite a bit of pink and white, I wanted to contrast it with a yellow, which is why I chose this gorgeous Kate Spade York Limoni Clara bag in a woven wicker style with a yellow flap. I think this is really cool and perfect for that easy going day time vibe! Next I went with the jewellery, choosing a Michael Kors Slim Runway Watch in gold, some ASOS Enamel Rings and some Grad Night Geo Bangles in gold. Lastly, to keep the sun out of your eyes, I added these Michael Kors Rose Gold Kendall aviator sunglasses to the mix! I love this outfit and it’s definitely something I would wear myself! What do you think of it?
