3 Ways To Wear The 7 For All Mankind Skinny in Aggressive Siren
I wanted to choose a pair of classic blue jeans for this styling post. So why not choose a pair by one of the most iconic denim brands, 7 For All Mankind? I chose their Skinny in Aggressive Siren to be styled three different ways, ranging from the usual casual to something more classic. See the looks below.
My first thought when I was styling this look is that I wanted to work with different lengths. This is a dress (also by Sevens), but I think it works just as well as a shirt for the look that I was going for here. I always love the breezy feel of pairing a long tunic that hits mid-thigh with a skinny pair of pants and ankle boots.
This look is perfectly fine without the blazer, but I feel the addition of this Saint Laurent jacket keeps the look smarter because of the slim shape. When I was choosing a shoe to pair with these I instantly thought of something graphic and bold that wouldn’t take away from the look and enhances the overall feel. So there was no other choice than these Chanel boots from the Spring 2012 collection. What is great about this look is that it would work on girls of different heights.
The outfit would look just as great if the jeans are cropped for someone taller or cuffed for someone on the shorter side. That is always an idea when I do these posts, something that works on various body types.
This is another one of those looks that works for various heights and shapes. I wanted something simple, easy, and with structure. The red leather jacket from Zara creates a statement while adding structure. With the jacket being so bold, and even stronger when paired with these jeans, I wanted to keep everything else minimal. This Helmut Lang t shirt has a nice drape to it and grey t shirts go with every color under the sun. The Marant boots add more ease to the feel and adds a bit more femininity to the overall look. Then to give it a more casual feel, I chose to finish off the look with this Rick Owens beanie.
This is a look that was inspired by the women of Paris. The way they just throw on a statement jacket over classic pieces is always inspiring to me. For the statement piece I chose a jacket by Etro. The backdrop to the jacket is a classic white t shirt by James Perse and the Rag & Bone Newbury boots. To round out the overall boho feel, I wanted to choose a braided belt. It’s an accessory that gives a casual statement of its own.
Styling J Brand White Denim
I got the opportunity to style some of J Brand’s white jeans, which is not just for the Spring or Summer, but can be worn during any season. They are so versatile and can serve as a blank slate for an outfit or add a crisp finish to a look.
The first pair that I styled was the Valentina Flares in Blanc. These jeans have a great high waist and wide legs, both elements I love. I styled them with a silky patterned blouse from Tucker, tucked in to show off the high waist cut. To highlight the flare leg, I paired them with a pair of gold pointy pumps from J Crew. I paired these pieces with a tan leather motorcycle jacket from Marc Jacobs and a bright purple bag from Proenza Schouler.
Next I styled the Aidan in White Destruct. I wanted a more relaxed look for these jeans since they’re a slouchy boy fit. I also chose a more neutral color palette. The Aidan’s went well with a slouchy light weight gray sweater from TopShop, a piece for the transition to warmer weather. I chose these Converse Chuck Taylor high tops, a simple gold necklace from American Apparel and finished the look with these pale pink sunglasses from Warby Parker.
The last pair was the 811 Mid-Rise Skinny in Arctic White. I love the look of white on white, so I chose this white blouse with a black peter pan collar from Oscar de la Renta. I like that the detailing on the blouse adds some texture to the look. I accessorized with pops of color, like these Sam Edelman cobalt heels, Cole Haan blue clutch and Kenneth Jay Lane coral ring.
Weekend Going Out Look: Current/Elliott The Ankle Skinny Jeans
For my weekend going out look this time, I decided to pay a farewell to winter by choosing icy tones; white and blue. I chose the Current/Elliott The Ankle Skinny because the wash is that perfect mid to light blue and I paired them with this amazing Acne Pat Degrade Ombre Blouse. I absolutely love blue ombre and I think it’s the perfect tone to go with the jeans! I would wear the shirt with an easy half tuck at the front.
I chose these The Mode Collective white pumps to glam up the look and make it feminine and then picked this Alexander McQueen The Skull Box Clutch in white to match. I think these pops of white keep it clean and fresh, with a cooler colour palette. I finished off the look with a silver Michael Kors Slim Runway watch and this Me & Zena Bright Eyes Rabbit ring. I think these touches of silver keep it cool and just add that finishing touch. Do you like the look? It’s definitely an outfit I would wear myself if I owned the pieces.
Weekend Going Out Look: Paige Verdugo Super Skinny in St. Petersburg
This week I chose to style a “Weekend Look” around the Paige Verdugo Super Skinny Jeans in St. Petersburg. The print is a favorite of mine, still to date. There is something that I will always find fresh about it even though printed jeans are getting a bit tiring for me. But these haven’t lost my interest at all since the first time I saw them.
I decided to go with a clean look that you can wear to a cocktail party. When I first saw these jeans, I thought they were asking to be paired with a button up shirt. Either denim or a classic white. I went with the latter and chose a shirt by Equipment to keep the look crisp.
Another thing that is a perfect pairing with these jeans are the classic Tribute Two Pumps by Saint Laurent. With this combination, I think, the way you accessorize is endless. I chose to finish my look off with some bangles by Ashley Pittman, a watch by Michael Kors, rings by Margiela, and a clutch by Nancy Gonzalez. I say wear the shirt oversized with the sleeves rolled up to have that “slightly disheveled yet smart” vibe that will surely have you looking chic.
