I have always wanted to know how FRAME would do the motorcycle trend. They are a brand that have fit down perfectly, so it was only a matter of the details in my opinion. They did nothing but surprise me with their Le Luxe Skinny Biker. When it came to styling them, I had three women in mind; Cara Delevingne, Kate Moss, and Halle Berry. Each love themselves a motorcycle jean and have worn them each in their own way without taking away the edgy appeal of them. See the looks that were inspired by these three ladies below.
As we all know, Cara loves her street wear pieces with a mix of a late ’80s and ’90s feel to it. Her staples are usually a bomber jacket, a slinky shirt or tank with some bulky boots or sneakers. Then to finish it off she usually opts for a backpack instead of the usual handbag. With Cara, her jackets are always just as much of a statement as her jeans, so there was no doubt that I wanted to pair these jeans with a Scotch&Soda jacket. I then kept everything else monochromatic and paired it with a camisole by Topshop, then finished it off with a backpack and boots from Saint Laurent.
I am really looking forward to the cold if you can’t tell by this look here. I chose a pair of R13 Skinny Jeans in Dirty Grey as the base of the look and paired them with pieces that will keep you warm while still looking chic.
I am obsessed with puffers this season and thought that this Belstaff one was great. It still feels like the classic puffer, but is much more elevated with the way it is quilted and piped with the patent leather. For a little more warmth, an update of the classic white shirt in leather by Topshop. It has a slight midriff fit that doesn’t take it too out of season territory. I then finished it off with a belt by Saint Laurent and some leather boots by Isabel Marant. How many of you are also looking forward to the cold?
There have been very few blue jeans this season that have been attention grabbing in my opinion. Most have stuck to clean singular colors, which have nothing wrong with them, just lacking a component to make them stand out. Strange coming from the person that loves his black denim. One pair that definitely does and will probably always have that luster is the Oil Stain Skinny by Rag & Bone. The style still has that classic versatile appeal without sacrificing any interesting details, which is why I chose to style them in three different classic ways for this post.
Blue, white and black is probably my most go-to color combination whenever I wear blue jeans. It always feels fresh each and every time and still looks crisp. I kept everything simple with a t shirt by R13, a bag by Proenza Schouler and boots by Isabel Marant. I then wanted to add some more texture to the look and print to keep it from looking plain with a scarf by Zara.
I’ve been a fan of these 3×1 W3 Channel Seam Skinny jeans for quite some time and I decided to create my weekend going out look around them. Overall, I wanted to keep the look pretty causal and incorporate some darker colors for fall. I chose this Rebecca Taylor tweed motorcycle style jacket because I think the black and white tweed goes well with the white stripe of the jeans and I layered it over this slouchy, sheer tank from All Saints. I think the jacket adds a nice polish that can transition this easily from running errands during the day to drinks or dinner at night.
I wanted to bring a bit of color into the outfit with my accessories. I’m looking for any excuse to wear boots and I love the color of this wine colored pair from Madewell. I liked the dark green color and shape of this Wendy Nichols bag. Lastly, to add a bit more color to the outfit, I chose these Gemma Redux blue triangle earrings.
