It’s after the holidays and many of us just want to be as comfortable as possible after feasting. Though comfort is the main priority, some also still want to keep it chic, which is why I chose the Rag & Bone Pajama Leather Pants to style for my “Going Out” look.
I wanted to keep it simple with a graphic tee that Kanye West designed for his Yeezus tour. I then chose a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti sneakers to keep the look easy, then finished the look off with a La Garçonne Moderne blazer and a Zara scarf to add a bit of smartness to the overall vibe. How many of you are looking forward to keeping things comfortable this weekend?
The Citizens of Humanity Avedon in Axel would have to be one of my favorite black jeans that I have ever found when it comes to solid black. They are all around black with a lining of the same shade (harder to find than you think), that allows you to cuff without any cutoff. So when they released their Racer in Black Diamond, which are a lower rise with a leg opening that is just a tad larger, my attention was instantly grabbed and I decided to style them three ways for this week.
This look here is something that is a staple look for me when the temperature cools down. A parka should be a staple for everyone, just like a great pair of black jeans, and this River Island one will pretty much make any outfit. Sometimes a parka just won’t help you beat the chill, so a sweater underneath can be necessary. This one by Tothem adds that extra warmth with the fleece lining while adding some interesting texture with its neoprene shell. Then to finish it all off, a pair of Timberland boots and some Oliver Peoples sunglasses.
‘Tis the season for holiday parties! For my Weekend Going Out Look, I wanted to do something that was appropriate for holiday parties, but wasn’t going to be the same as what everyone was wearing.
I chose these Helmut Lang Leather leggings because leather adds a dressier element and is a great base. I paired them with this velvet smoking blazer from H&M because I love how luxurious velvet is and it seems so perfect for the holidays. I layered the blazer over this green silk cami from Tibi as I love the green color. I finished with these black and sheer pumps from Blonda Castana, mulit-colored chandelier earrings from Banana Republic, and this gold Kotur Pearce clutch.
For this weeks weekend going out look, I wanted to style something quite festive and perfect for New Years Eve. I chose these Frankie B. My BFF Leggings in Black & Gold Stripes as they look amazing! I was instantly drawn to the black with the gold foiling, it’s so pretty!
I paired the jeans with a La Garconne cream sweater and a Topshop black sleeveless jacket. This look would look equally as good with a black blazer, but I use them a lot in my outfits, so I wanted to vary it a bit. I chose the Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels in black to smarten things up and then opted for gold jewellery to tie in with the jeans. I chose a 7 For All Mankind Gorjana Aurora necklace, a Janis Savitt Ring, a Lord & Taylor gold watch and a Kate Spade gold bangle.
