I feel like flares don’t get as much attention as they should in a casual sense since skinny jeans came along. Which is why I chose the Mia Flare in Indigo Haze by HUDSON for my weekend going out look. The wash screams Summer and the fit offers some breathing room for the ankles after the many years in skinny jeans.
I wanted to keep everything pretty casual with pieces like this Organic by John Patrick henley and a pair of silver Lanvin flats. Then to compliment the wash of the jeans, I chose a lightweight scarf by Thom Browne and to finish it all off a Balenciaga bag to wear crossbody so your hands are free. How many of you are looking forward to freeing your ankles this weekend?
For my weekend going out look this week, I wanted to style something comfortable and easy for running Saturday errands! Since the denim overall trend is in full swing, I chose a pair of the Current/Elliott Denim Overalls to style as they have a nice dark wash and a slimmer fit, but look comfortable. Depending on what type of climate you live in, I have given two options for tops! If it’s a little chilly out, go with this Donna Ida Cashmere Sweater or if it’s quite hot, opt for this Beaded Lace Tank.
Nothing says Spring/Summer to me more than a pair of espadrilles, so I chose these Loewe Leather Espadrilles as they will be comfortable for walking! I kept things hands free and easy with the addition of this Tory Burch Cross Body Bag and then chose some accessories! I went with a pretty Crescent Moon Gold Necklace to go with the lace top (not the sweater) and then finished it off with some Tom Ford Aviators. Would you wear a look like this? It’s definitely something I might choose myself due to the stripes!
For my weekend going out look, I chose to go with a pair of high rise skinny jeans in a dark wash. There is something so classic about these Rag & Bone Justine skinny jeans. Because of the higher rise, I chose this slightly cropped Dries Van Noten blouse. The embroidery and print is so intricate and it looks great against the neutral background of the jeans.
As not to distract from the detail of the blouse, I kept the lines of the jewelry simple with these wooden bangles from See by Chloe and a gold stacking ring from Sole Society. I chose these leather and raffia heels from Manolo Blahnik because the raffia adds some texture and casualness. Lastly, I finished with a touch of color with this dark green Jil Sander Bag.
Yellow is one of the hottest colours for Spring and Summer! It really livens up your outfit, whether you choose a bright shade of citrus yellow or you want something a little more mellow and choose a pastel yellow, it always manages to look bold, fresh and perfect for the warmer weather. Whenever I see someone wearing yellow, it always makes me want to smile! It’s such a happy colour, don’t you think? I have put together 6 different outfit collages and a few of my own yellow inspired outfits so you can see how to incorporate it into your wardrobe for the coming season!
