For my weekend going out look, I decided to style the Blank NYC Spray on Skinny jeans in Bonner Pilot. These were one of both Lorna and I’s picks for last month, and I finally decided to create a look around them. My favorite part is the contrasting colors and materials of the patches.
I chose this sheer Alexander Wang blouse because I like how the black looks with the patches and I think the sheerness is a nice way to dress up these jeans for the evening. For shoes, I added these Aquazzura suede booties in nude, which I think is a nice neutral base for the rest of the outfit. I kept the rest of the accessories pretty minimal; I like the see-through factor of this PVC Diane Von Furstenburg cross body bag and I liked how this chain necklace from Topshop added a bit of toughness to the look.
For my weekend going out look this week, I wanted to do something bold and fun, but with Autumn in mind. I chose the gorgeous Paige Verdugo Leggings in Amber Crown Jewels as the base of this outfit as I think they are amazing. I first saw these earlier this year at the press day and fell in love with them. I have since purchased them myself and this is the type of outfit I plan on styling them with.
I chose a Ted Baker black blazer to add some structure and a clean vibe to the look, but I didn’t want something too smart which is why I opted for a relaxed white linen tee instead of a shirt. To give length to the legs and highlight the jeans even more, I chose a pair of Balmain black suede heels and then finished the outfit off with a Tory Burch Robinson bag in mustard. This is definitely an ensemble that I plan on wearing when the weather becomes a little more suitable, aka when it stops raining! What do you think of it?
This week I chose a pair of the 7 For All Mankind Skinny Suede Pants. I have been waiting for someone to come out with a pair of brown suede pants for some time and I am happy to see these. Unfortunately these are not available in the States. Hopefully they pop up soon, but they do have a sueded knit that is very similar.
For my weekend look, I wanted to do something that was very androgynous. Something that you can see both a guy or a girl wearing, but not look like they raided their significant others closet. I chose to pair the pants with a sweater from Zara, a t shirt from James Perse (their t shirts are amazing, I wear them everyday), Superga sneakers, and a flannel from Topman to tie around the waist. What do you guys think about these pants?
The R13 Chaps are definitely a standout piece. Many have thought, along with myself, that they are not a versatile pair. As I paid more attention to them, I started to notice how versatile they actually are and started to find them one of the best designed pairs out. Whether you choose a more feminine look or something more casual, I put together three different looks that will definitely change your perspective of this style.
When looking at these jeans recently, I have been thinking that they have a very “lounging on the couch” vibe. I find that they work really well with slouchy knits like this one here from Zara. Since this is a look that is a stay in look, I chose not to pair them with shoes, but with some printed socks by Missoni and then added a belt by Shipley Halmos to dress the look up a bit with a half tuck. I then finished everything off with a book by Grace Coddington.
